Oh good lord he is not why they lost
His play in the first half certainly led to the deficit...  and I'm guessing no one noticed, but on the last drive Cousins left 10-12 seconds on the play clock on both 2nd and 3rd down with a running clock.  If he waits until it's under 3 seconds both times, the Lions don't have enough time for the last couple plays of the game... and the Vikings probably win.

Kirk has his flaws but they put 27 points on an 0-10-1 team then you watch that last drive they made for the win and proceed to torture logic to make it Kirk's fault?  Are you selling swampland in Florida too?

I don't think anyone needs anymore debate on moving on from Zimmer after the season.

Cousin's is under a huge contract for next year with a new HC and possibly a new GM (I still support Spelly).

A new HC will most likely be an offensive guru who will most likely have his first season evaluating Cousin's into the future.  I can't see any HC candidate coming in and calling the Vikings $40 million QB ugly.

So in all likelihood, under my scenario we have Cousins playing for his 20th OC and new HC.

No, just pointing out that after the DEFENSE handed the offense yet another short field...  Kirk made some mistakes that could have helped the defense close it out.  It's called playing complimentary football.

We didn't do a good job of clock management there and we didn't play good defense on the final drive.  All these things add up to losing football.  Same as the offense only netting 6 points on two short fields in the first quarter.  We had an opportunity to put Detroit down and we let them stay in the game early.

Kirk and the offense didn't score an offensive TD until the 4th quarter...  I think the offense has just as much blame in this as the defense.

I was super pissed that they didn't score after the interception. Missed opportunity

The really sad thing is that back in 2013 there were only 30 teams Smile

Bump for those who need to read things three or four times for them to sink in...

The Patriots send an all out blitz on a pivotal play. The defenders aren't 8 yards deep in the endzone.

and they win the game. Belichick ladies and gentlemen. QB win for Mac Jones.
