Spielman Personally Scouting College Quaterbacks
#1
  • According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Vikings' Rick Spielman was one of at least five NFL general managers scheduled to be at Heinz Field on Thursday night to watch No. 25 Pittsburgh against North Carolina and top quarterback prospects Sam Howell of the Tar Heels and Kenny Pickett of the Panthers.

I wonder if he is going to the game this weekend in LA, there is a QB named Herbert he should check out Sad

If I were the Wilfs, I would ask Spielman which QB he wants to pick, then pick someone else!

Typical. gets excited about QBs in what looks like a very average prospect pool.

I don't want him picking a qb. Seriously he doesn't know what he is doing. I feel like he has committed plenty of fireable offenses draft wise.

Dont you suppose he ought to be out prospecting often?

No doubt.  I feel like your GM should be looking at the top 5-10 QBs every year.

Sure he can look but he picked Ponder so his track record is not good. This is a concern. He needs people that are better equipped to make the choice that is if he is still here next year.

Not saying he shouldn’t’ be, just not sure I want him taking another swing for the Vikings!
