Vikings @ Ravens predictions (going for 4)
#1
What I like:
We might get the Baltimore team who were crushed by the Bengals 40 to 17. Pass defense.

What I don't like:
We might get the Baltimore team who crushed the Chargers 34-6. Run defense.

Going for 4:
Forced to pass against a very good Raven run defense, Vikings offense comes alive. Mason Cole is a revelation.
Vikings beat the Ravens 36-24 on the way to their 11th NFC championship game.

In the three seasons they beat BAL, they went to the NFC Championship. In the three seasons they lost, the head coach got fired.

either way the fans win in the end!

I dont think everything is going to align for the Vikings often enough this season.

Could see one hell of a hangover from another embarrassing national loss from Halloween.

For these very reasons (and more) I predict

Vikings 26
Ravens 24

31 - 13 Ravens.  I can't even waist my time watching this team anymore.  I'll be recording the game, and watch if they win.
Go get 'em Viking - Skol!

I'm usually a hopeful guy, but in this case there's no way I can pick the Vikings to win. They have to show me they can play well and play well consistently. Until that happens I can't pick them to win any game from here on out.

You know what's interesting about this? According to DVOA, the Vikings rank #1 in the NFL in terms of consistency. See "variance" ranking here: https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/...iency/2021

The guys with the big brains at FootballOutsiders use metrics I don't fully understand. But I THINK what this means is that the Vikings, though not consistently good or consistently bad, are consistent at being exactly who they are, if that makes any sense. IOW, their performance rarely waivers from its average.

DVOA goes much deeper into games than just outcome--that's the whole point. But even on the surface, it makes a little sense: unlike the Saints, Packers, Chargers, Ravens, etc., the Vikings have never been blown out. And also unlike those teams, they've never blown out anyone. Every single game, regardless of how good or bad their opponent is, goes to the wire.

So take that for what it's worth, Viking nation. Vikings are #1 at something.

I'll take that as being #1 to consistently playing to the level of your competition, which usually amounts to a close game.

No pierce
No hunter

Through 7 games the vikings have yet to play a complete game in all 3 phases

Tomorrow will be no different.

Like last week, fans will see Zimmer's defense ain't what it once was.

Ravens win in a blow out.
