My problem with Cousins is that he only plays this way at the very end of games. I'm happy they won, but it's hard to get too excited about another late game collapse where the offense and defense both let the opponent back into the game.

Fans that bitch about Cousins don't know football. Its that simple.
The problem is Mike Zimmer.

Quote: @StickyBun said:I think some of the offense's issues are more our first year OC than Zimmer. Cook was gaining ground all day up the middle, yet too often we kept going for the stretch zone to the outside which wasn't working. No screens to slow down Carolina's pass rush. Honestly though, players need to make plays. Jefferson put a ball on the ground today and handed Carolina 7 points early... Mattison did the same thing against the Lions... Cook against the Bengals... at some point our star offensive players need to step up and play big in big moments. Kudos to Cousins for doing just that in multiple games this season. Now it's time for the rest of the offense to follow suit.

Quote: @StickyBun said:Guess I don't know football then... I do know this: Zimmer's record before Cousins, with the likes of Cassel, Bridgewater (including 13 games as a rookie), Bradford, Keenum: 39-25 Record with Kirk Cousins: 28-24-1 Kirk's overall record in the NFL: 53-54-1 Yes, I know that Cousins puts up big stats, but I'm not convinced that Zimmer is the main problem here. |
