Zimmer -- what does he need to do?
#31
I am not of the mindset that the Wilfs are not committed to winning and making big signings to do so. Say what you will about the outcome, but the KC signing was a big deal.

I do think they may be loyal to a fault and tend to have a conservative streak within.

Like much in life, shades of grey...And I aint talking 50 shades.

Playoffs or he and Rick should go. They are good, but we need a shot at great.

Look what AZ and CLE and the Bolts etc did, of course the Browns had a zillion top 5 picks
Not saying we are great, but what exactly did AZ, cleveland and LAC do?

Not yet but they look closer to being in the running than the Vikings do.

Can you imagine if Stefanski wins a championship? He would be right there with Dungy, Billick and Tomlin. I am not saying that Cleveland is winning it this year but they are definitely on the upswing. Sames goes for the Chargers and Cardinals.

you dobt have one option listed….
- He is done no matter what happens
Thats the one I would select. Distant second would be winning the superbowl
You would want him gone even if we won the Super Bowl this year? Lolz what?
Yup. Because he is not winning the superbowl this year so that option is as good as inexistent. That is how much I want him gone.Enough with the settling.” it is time to try something different.
I agree with not settling, but the literal question is what does he need to do and if he needs to win the super bowl and does you still want him gone? You want to fire the coach right after winning a super bowl?
Not any coach… Zimmer. If this team wins the super bowl (and this is a MAJOR stretch and fantasy) under him it will not be because he coached the team to win it. Since he has been here he has not won a single game that really mattered. The Minneapolis miracle had no business being a close game. The win in NO was not his doing. So no he needs to go because all we are doing is dancing with above average. This state and fans deserve better than above average, better than good.

So if Zimmer wins games, it's despite him...  but when we lose, it's all his fault?  Seems logical...

He gets credit for winning games that don’t have high stakes. He is a specialist for coming short in big games. He has lost every “win and in” games and his playoff record supports that. Add that to his inconsistent performance and you get an above average coach. Like I said we need better than above average
