It feels like it's corner play that is bad.  Woods had a nice game today I thought, Harrison is Harrison.  But the corners, ehh.

Glad to see Dantzler make a couple of nice plays, especially after that first whiffed tackle.  New corners always have an adjustment period with Zimmer, from Captain to now PP and BB

Why do defensive backs take a couple of years to adapt to Zimmers scheme.  Maybe he needs to simplify things and just let them play.

Also is it so hard to run something different than Cook on 1st down when everybody knows its coming.

Just once during a game throw thw ball pass the sticks on 3rd and long.

Why did it seem like the defense became less aggressive in the 2nd half?

They need to rip out the page in the playbook that says up the gut to Cook on 3rd and short is a good call.  I knew that play was coming before they broke the huddle.

Years of different training could be why.  Agreed on the 1st down and our QB's inability to make the right pass on 3rd down.

Second half, it was contain, contain, contain.  Or at least try to and limit the big mistakes.  When we did, we played well.  When we went aggressive (4th down), it burned us.

the coach. yes.  but the qb?

youre an  asshole poster. with a vendetta against a qb. who knows why. ask your self. maybe relgious maybe poltiical. either way, youre the bitter bigot in this situation

but the QB was our best player all day not wearing 99. but maybe you didnt watch the game.
Cousins played scared the 2nd half.  His "March" down the field was a Cook run, 2 5 yard line slants, and a screen pass.

Get bent, he's a bum who doesn't have IT.
Even analysts that typically shit on Cousins mentioned that he did his parts in what should have been 2 game winning drives...one lost to a "fumble", another lost to what should have been an easy FG.

Oh, and a defense that pissed away 30 points AGAIN...yet, you don't mention them.

You're too stupid for football, probably too stupid for anything with a power switch.  Go play bingo or something.

easy snowflake.  Lets apply critical thinking here, over the length of a full season, how many games will come down to these final plays?   It will catch up to the team and they will be .500 because we are always in these situations with Cousins and Zimmer at the helm.

He plays a huge role as the QB in us being in these situations.  Zero points in the second half, if he had driven the team to any points, we wouldnt be in that position.  We were terrible again on 3rd down, 1/8 until the last drive.

Thats not championship QB play, thats what he is getting paid to provide here.

And why do these analysts historical “shit on him” (you really are a class act btw) “They shit on him” for a reason, because over his career, under performing is his MO.

the defense didn’t play great, but they did put up points on the board, forced two turnovers against a premier offense in their house, and made the critical stop when needed.

any room for nuance here?  or just being a triggered bitch?

Gosh, sparkles, you're always a voice of reason...oh, wait, no, never that.

You're long-play annoying, because it's always the same shit.  You are as vacant as the asshats that focus so much on a moronic and useless need to hate on the QB that you blow off the other factors...constantly.

The very same conservative coach defines the run-first mentality of the team, regardless what Klint or Kirk do...period.  He has the say, and he's huge on demanding YAC from our players.  That same short-of-the-sticks play you keep focusing on didn't arrive with Cousins...it's been a staple since Teddy, even longer with the Ponder/Rosenfels "bubble screen" nightmares.

Defensive coaches think, offensively, in nibbles.  It's not new, and as much as I hate it...and I do...it's a play drawn up with a porous line in mind.

You've been classless about Cousins every time I've seen you.  He's "underperforming" as one of the NFL's most accurate passers ever.  He's basically thrown for 600 yards and 5 TDs behind a line that barely can claw its way into mediocrity for his fourth season with the team.  He "underperformed" his part in the Vikings' 2nd all-time offense last season.

He helped get us within sight of beating Seattle, in Seattle, twice...but our defense choked with terrifying consistency.  He's had us within two plays of two wins this season, but watched plays of others kill us at the whistle.

Our defense has given up 61 points in two games, despite all the talent and headlines they've garnered this offseason...and I see none of your vitriol aimed at them.  So...why would you be anyone to talk about critical thinking?  You're a determined, myopic shit-talker with a dumbass agenda.

Bingo, dude.  It's calling you.

Oh, and our "underperforming" QB is currently rated 4th in the NFL, even with dumbass conservative play calling.

I'm convinced that for some people Cousins has to play a perfect game in order to avoid criticism. Was he perfect? No, but he did a lot of great things to put us in position to win the game. And in a game where there are obvious culprits, the fact that Cousins' name gets mentioned among them is just bizarre to me.

I didn't see any conservative play calling against the Cardinals.  I was actually quite impressed with Kubiak's game script.  I was equally impressed with Kirk this week, he was in attack mode from the start and it sure helped that Dalvin was ripping off 10 yard runs every other time he touched the ball.  That is the Kirk we need to see...  not the take the "safe" throw short of the sticks Cousins, but the guy who isn't hesitating to go deep in 1-1 coverage to Jefferson, Thielen, and Osborn.  We hit some big plays in the passing game in the first half and missed a few in the 2nd half.  I liked that he kept going after the Cardinals though.  This wasn't a game to criticize Kirk and that's coming from a guy who isn't a Kirk believer anymore.  One game isn't going to change my mind, but he played well yesterday.
