For everyone who thinks preseason is a waste of time, one word: Browning.  Without preseason, Browning would be on the roster and the backup.  Sometimes, you need to see these players play against opposing players.  Some people play better during games than practice and some do the opposite.

....yet Kyle Sloter was the King of Preseason and has never sniffed the field anywhere.

Vikings OC Klint Kubiak with a strong endorsement of Sean Mannion: "Mentally, there’s very few guys I’ve been around as bright as him. The way he sees the game, the way he communicates with the coaches, he’s an extra coach on the field on top of being a heck of a player."

Like Mannion...what a waste of a practice squad spot.  It's not like other teams were eager to sign him.  He could have been sitting at home and taken a phone call if the Vikings needed him during the season.  If Cousins goes down the season is over and Mannion sure isn't going to change that outcome.
