Harry extended
#11
I gotta believe Harry is going to have a much better year.  With better corner play he won't be making up for some young learning curves.

He won't have to play LB on every play and then run his ass out when he reads pass,  should be able to play more straight up and get back to really playing his game.

The real money is $26 million over 2 years, 2021-2022. The rest is fluff.

Trying to find the tweet comparing Harry's numbers to the recent HOF inductee Troy P. Very favorable.

Harrison Smith has played in 130 games thru 2020.

Thru first 130 games of career--

Troy Polamalu:
653 Tackles
10 Sacks
30 INT
44 Tackles for Loss
8 Forced Fumbles
4 TDs

Harrison Smith:
747 Tackles
13.5 Sacks
28 INT
39 Tackles for Loss
7 Forced Fumbles
4 TDs

It fails to mention 1 key HOF factor.... Polamalu has 2 rings,  Harry,  well lets just say not as many.

Vikings officially clear about $3.3M in 2021 cap space with the Harrison Smith extension

Smith has the 17th game check recognized and gets a true four-year, $64 million extension

$9.579M signing bonus, $8M 2022 roster bonus so strong cash flows through March 2022

#Vikings over 16M in cap space for 2021 after the Smith extension. O'Neill's extension will likely chew up some of that, but there's still plenty of room to trade for a much-needed depth veteran

Bet the Vikings are also looking at trade options at QB and TE.

With the uncertainty of Barr's injury (lingering) and rookie linebackers,  I hope the organization looks to upgrade this position soon...
