like about everything our govt does... its either to cover some shit up (watch the right hand while the left hand is stealing your wallet)   or they are routing money through something as payback for something.  our govt makes the mafia look honest.
The continued bastardization of the US military and patriotism

We as Americans should vote out the congressional leaders who have been utilizing defense contractors in their jurisdictions to maintain power. Boasting about their jobs/economic development as campaign points while pushing the largest corporate socialism welfare program in history.

Taking us taxpayer money out of communities that need it here, in the US, so we can export bombs overseas in endless wars for flimsy global influence.

2 trillion spent with millions of casualities, lost lives and promise. Abhorrent

Its not like we had a Supreme Commander, 5 star general, and US President who warned us about this 60 years ago.

It speaks to those people who come from other lands and make the United States what it is.
I've heard the United States is systemically racist.
It is. There is systemic racism throughout the United States. There is also racism in the immigration process and policies. There are also humanitarian policies that aid people from other countries. It is contradictory but doesn't mean that both are not happening.
Every Asian American knows the system is rigged against them....

Seriously...until you stop seeing people by the color of their skin and start seeing the character of their heart...we'll never put issues of race behind us.  I've volunteered in the inner city shelters for nearly 40 years...first in Chicago and than in Madison and the idea of systemic racism is a hinderance to the plight of the inner city Blacks.  The snake oil you're selling them is getting through loud and clear....they're black...so the system is rigged against them....so why even try.  They're black...so the police hate them...so they should in turn hate the police.    They're black...and they should hate the whites and their privilege.  Race relations have declined significantly in this Country since Obama became the race baiter in chief and so has the plight of the inner city black person.  Want to make a difference?  Quit with the Systemic Racism, Critical Race Theory, 1619 Project, BLM, statue toppling, etc. and concentrate on helping break the cycle of despair in the inner cities...poverty, abuse, substance issues, crime, lack of education, lack of family unit, etc.
How much does AEI pay or do you just volunteer to spread this stuff.
I don't even know what AEI is.  I do just volunteer....a lot...both in the inner city and with the Red Cross for disaster relief.  I also volunteered at the County vaccination clinic as an educator.  It's pretty rewarding...you should try it...or are you one of those that just talks the talk?

Yeah I walk the talk, just don't brag about it for the internet trolls.
Being called an internet troll by the king of trolls...is I guess a compliment.  So...thanks..I guess!

I don't do the volunteer work for anybody but myself and those I help.  I was simply pointing it out to offer some perspective on my thoughts above.  Talking about the black condition from the lily white suburbs just seems a little bit silly...and many of the items listed above actually harm those you say you care about.  Has Black Lives matter actually done anything to improve the life of the average person of color?  Has defunding the police improved life in the inner city or instead has it actually caused significant harm?  Now we want to impose CRT and the 1619 project, etc.  Here in Madison, we've pretty much toppled all the statues we can...even if they had nothing to do with slavery...or in a few cases...even if they fought on the Union side during the civil war.  We've renamed streets and schools.  We even removed a racist rock (yes...a rock) from campus:
https://news.wisc.edu/no-longer-a-memori...om-campus/

You think any of that nonsense helps raise the standard of living for the typical POC?  Closed the racial divide?

Einstein and Mother F'n Theresa complete package.  Don't matter much what you or I think the answers will come from that community, and I'm just listening.  So whats your suggestion, declare there is no issue and it's all fair now?
Don't want to hijack the OP on this thread.  There's a race relations thread.  Be glad to give my two cents over there.

No, save it for your other board, no need to get the three man echo chamber going over here.

Obama and Trump both enjoyed golfing.  Not sure, but Biden is probably only up for playing miniature golf in this basement, if that...

But the fate of those left behind remains a mystery, with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki confirming earlier Monday that a "small number" of Americans who want to leave remain in the country.

Guess we're leaving them behind...
