I think there's legit cause for concern
I think it's really tough to get a bead on this team given who hasn't played at all this pre-season
I think KC is going to have to earn my trust again, feels too much like early last season
I think the D may not be as strong as I had hoped (with the LB's especially porous and thin)
I think Zimmer didnt do the team any favors not playing the entire team at all this pre-season
I think the entire pre-season gets forgotten if they win vs Cinci
I think having Griff back is going to make a difference
I thought Cousins played OK. I didn't see any wild throws, or any open receivers he missed or any time he held the ball too long. There was that silly attempt to run, but that was because his receiver was double covered and fell down. There was also a blitz through the B gap that was missed. Is that on the center or the QB? Or just the RB who failed to pick it up? Dunno.
The first drive IOL protected really well. Nice 80 yard drive.
My concern on D is the three tackles--Pierce, Tomlinson and Richardson. They were inconsistent, missed tackles, generally weren't the force you would expect them to be. Of course they got no help from our three linebackers--Lynch, Dye and Vigil. Kept thinking that...Lynch, Dye and Vigil against Patrick Mahomes. Wow. On the 2nd TD, Lynch was in coverage. Confident Kendricks makes that play.
On the first TD, you have to wonder about the wisdom of putting Breeland one on one against Tyreek Hill. That's a TD waiting to happen. Hill wins that foot race every time.
Rest of the game was irrelevant except for the fact that Mond may have moved ahead of Browning. Mond is just as awful as Browning is, but at least with him you have the running factor.
