OK I Give Up, What’s Up w/ Barr…?

Has Zimmer's policy on acting coy or ignorant on injuries ever  paid off? It's maddening to fans and I doubt it has made one bit of a difference.

Hope it's not serious. Barr is the one player on defense we can least afford to lose.
I dont buy that for a second .  Give our D last year adequate DT play and Hunter and we are in the playoffs.  Barrs is a pretty good ball player,   but he isn't the straw that stirs the defense.  Take away Hunter, Harry,  or a quality DT and IMO you will see a bigger drop off than just Barr alone.

Edit:  unless you mean specifically this year since we no longer have Wilson to take Barrs spot then I might be more in agreement,  however they should be able to switch it up a bit to ask less of who ever fills that spot.

Also Kendricks.  Our D was barely hanging on week 11 last year and then Kendricks went out and it was goodbye have a nice draft.

Just enjoying parts of WNC that aren't flooded. What's up with you?

Both. We have no depth behind him. And Barr, probably more than anyone else, allows Zim to run the defense the way he wants to. Not only does he make the calls, but without his size and versatility, Zim's defense becomes something different.

Wed have been fine without him last year if we would have had hunter and better DT play.  Wilson played fine in Barrs absence.  It's the lack of depth behind barr this year is the concern for me I guess.  I still think he's overrated,  especially in run defense inside the tackles.  He plays LB more like a safety,  good at coverage and pressing play to the sidelines,   but not so good at filling a gap and getting off a block to make a tackle at the LOS

I heard he sprained his wallet from taking that pay cut.

Nah that ain't it. He can't give birth. He doesn't know what that's like. They need to think about plan b if necessary.

Jokes aside this is starting to feel more and more like the Hunter stuff from last year. Hope I’m wrong and he’s back out there soon. Darrisaw too please!

Have read quite a bit on Barr and Harry being the 2 chess pieces that allow Zimmer to run his defense as he does.  Harry moves around so much but is often the one to set the edge on one side of the D and Barr who doesn't move around so much sets the other side.

Barr isn't flashy, but there is a huge difference in the D without him.  Just because it is subtle doesn't mean it isn't important.
