Presidents? Is that a joke?

I like Redhogs and Redwolves for the "red" connection to the previous team. Sweathogs would be a too easy replacement for RedHogs. But even without that, Washington Redwolves wins in my book due to alliteration.
Sounds positively stupid to me.  If the Redskins name was so damn offensive, why have “Red” in any part of their name?  It simply creates a link to their racist past.  Not my view, but the view of those that forced the change.  Defenders would be okay in theory if that’s what our country truly stood for anymore. Lol
So in your mind, "red" is what made "redskin" racist? LOL. You know what, that makes perfect sense, Waterboy. While we're at it, we can change Red Sox, Redbull and the Red Cross.
No Red does not make it racist, but the common link in the name still creates the association between the two.  I know that’s really difficult to understand.  I wasn’t offended either way, but even I listen to the other side enough to hear their complaints.  The other names try to at least create a link to the city.  The Red names would not be picked but for the fact that the team was formerly called the Redskins which then creates a linkage to the original reason the name was eliminated.  So yes, they probably should avoid the Buffalo Skins and Toughskins as well.

How about the "Red Coats"?  As in "The Red Coats are coming, the Red Coats are coming!".  =)

That would at least have some linking to history.   I would think Turn Coats would be more fitting, though.  Smile
