Not advocating or corroborating but this is how ESPN saw it (typos included):
More than anything, Saturday's loss exposed the Vikings' depth issues across the board. Dakota Dozier, who seemed like a good fit for a backup guard, was replaced by rookie Wyatt Davis four drives into the game, and Davis and was instantly pushed back into quarterback Jake Browning. Minnesota's linebacker depth, which drew criticism from Zimmer last week, is still lacking. Both quarterbacks who played -- Browning and Kellen Mond -- totaled 79 passing yards. The backups in the secondary are still inexperienced, which should make the Vikings feel extra good about signing veterans Patrick Peterson, Bashaud Breeland, Mackensie Alexander and Xavier Woods to man starting roles. Saturday's loss was ugly. The silver lining is the Vikings now know where they stand with their depth and can make adjustments moving forward as they begin to cut down the roster on Tuesday.
Yea like I said in my other post's...I watched to see our depth and 2 and 3'rds. Not good, no matter how we spin being meaningless etc...but one observation I can make after watching 5 games (10) teams no team came out as uninspired/flat and played as poorly even for 2nd and 3rd stringers.
Also, this was Kubiak's first called game and a few other coaches as well.
Vikings Territory:
Dakota Dozier played 100% of all Vikings offensive snaps in 2020. Usually an impressive feat for any player, this was a net negative for Minnesota as Dozier compiled a Pro Football Focus grade of 44.6, which scraped the bottom of the league for offensive guards.
Against the Broncos, Dozier was awful once again. He fired up a holding penalty in the endzone, creating a safety for Denver and possession of the ball for Drew Lock and friends. In the same quarter, he was called for a false start. That isn’t the end of the world, but it felt especially nauseating after the holding infraction.
The Vikings must sever their fascination with this man. He isn’t very good. And he doesn’t appear to be any better than last season’s cringer.
also Vikings Territory:
Did Dakota Dozier Finally Seal His Fate? When veteran players find playing time in the preseason, it’s somewhat expected that they thrive against the younger, less experience players. This was certainly not the case for Dakota Dozier.
Dozier struggled mightily in all aspects of the game. Along with a false start, he also committed an inexcusable holding penalty in the end zone, leading to a safety. Wyatt Davis got snaps later in the game, and while it took some time, he looked much more ready to play even after injury issues throughout training camp. With the Vikings needing to trim their roster from 90 to 85 by August 17th, Dozier certainly feels like someone at risk.
Not shocked if he isn't cut Tuesday...some reason they see something no one else does.

I mean, it's one play they're referencing. It would be nice to have them look at the whole body of work, asides from a narrative based off of 1 or 2 plays.
Dozier simply has to have something on VirtualRico™️… cut his ass!
It's just the same shit, different year; until they prove otherwise.
I wait, and I grow weary.

Completely agree. If Dozier starts the season at OG, its the same ol' bullshit.

Pray for Udoh's health and wellbeing because an injury to Oli the only way Dozier should even make the team. Sure, you like to have a veteran's experience to call upon when needed, but not when he hurts you this bad. And there's no upside with him. Zip. Nada. Both Cole and Davis looked better. Hell, even Hinton looked better. Move on, go young.
