No surprise someone who said, " I’m going to go about my daily life. If I get it, I’m going to ride it out. I’m going to let nature do its course. Survival-of-the-fittest kind of approach. And just say, if it knocks me out, it knocks me out. I’m going to be O.K. You know, even if I die. If I die, I die. ", wouldn't take the shot.
Just as I started to believe again, it appears it could be another excuse filled and dramatic season.
Another Vikings season!
On the other hand, the entire NFL season could become a shit show with the current protocols in place.
I had to Google that, but you're right. He did say that.

Y'know, this sounds tough in a Hollywood-movie-starring-Vin-Diesel-kinda-way, but way to make it all about you, Kirk. Football is a team sport. Fucking moron.

If the vaccine doesn't prevent transmission of the delta variant, the NFL might have to reconsider their Covid policies, which are all based off that idea.  It doesn't make much sense to have all the vaccinated people running around without precautions or testing, partying at bars, spreading Covid to each other and the non-vaccinated, while the non-vaccinated are following a more disciplined plan to prevent transmission.
If the risk is purely on the individual with regards to how bad the symptoms will be or how large of a risk of death they'll have, then the restrictions have a lot less meaning.

And this raises a very good point regarding vaccines...

God bless the current ones as they allowed a significant re-opening of economies and lives. But the next ones? Also needs to stop transmission which allows mutation.

Is it just a matter of time until a new mutation appear? One that totally defeats current tracing technology and cannot suppress deadly side effects?

Lets get back to a happier topic - like Dozier starting @ RG.

Biology is a system of chaos, good luck predicting outcomes of mutations.   Most are fatal to the organism, but the more mutations you have the probability of a pernicious one developing increases.  Just do the best you can, we are back to masking when we go inside.  I am seeing more folks doing the same

Are you following how Briton is opening up?  Cases are going down and they also have an 80% vaccination rate.  Man I just hoped we were beyond this, but F no.  I am afraid of what is going to happen this fall, Our state fair is less than 2 weeks away.  Going to be a shit show.

That is why I am always confused by the unvaccinated focusing on how this virus came to be -- they just don't realize that they are the virus' new laboratory.
