Just want to check in, does anyone on the left feel just a wee bit uncomfortable with Biden, Mika Brzezinski and Psaki talking about controlling free speech of on social media?
The 1st amendment was first for a reason, no?

I'm very decidedly on the left and I'd love to respond, but I have no idea what you're referring to. Mika Brzezinski? I even Googled it and couldn't find anything. Is this about Trump getting banned from Twitter?

I just took it as one of those victim without a cause things. Keep folks butthurt and distracted, I could be wrong though, sure there will be more to it.
Or it could be marketing for some product.

I think he’s talking about the Biden adminstration presuring twitter to temporarily ban that crazy Gop chick. She said something along the lines of “only old and fat people are dying of covid” and questioned if young and health people should get vaccinated.
I personally disagree with her statement but its really 1984ish to have one political side publically silencing another through a private corporation.
Its an extremley slippery slope for sure.

Well, the 1st amendment doesn't protect your right to yell fire in a crowded theater. And I think Twitter is a private company. I'm all for freedom of speech, but some of this speech is killing people. If I go to a street corner and start yapping about how Soylent Green is people, that's my right. If I do it on this board, the owner has a right to remove me.

Well, the 1st amendment doesn't protect your right to yell fire in a crowded theater. And I think Twitter is a private company. You are talking about Marjorie Taylor Greene (who doesn't understand HIPAA rights either). Her rhetoric is dangerous, then again dangerous to her followers as the Delta variant is feasting on the unvaxxed and we are starting to see the death numbers rise while fully vaxxed %s has slowed.
Mika Brez is Joe Scarborough's partner.
Private corporation can decide what it wants to do. That is the market place. Tech companies aren't utilities yet so political recommendations aren't becoming actions unless corporations decide to take them on.
