Kinda Sucks having a little over two weeks from last Preseason game
#1
until the first season game. 2019 had 10 days for all teams except the Thursday opener which had 7 days between PS and regular season.
It will be 16 days for Vikings last PS game (8-27) and first season game (9-12). Whats a fan to do???!!! I know, we don't have to deal with the lame 4th PS game - its just going to be a long two+ weeks!!!! Man, what a whiner I'm being!! LOL!

Not sure why they don't just start the preseason a week later.  I've always thought they do the NFL schedules screwy.  Why not have every teams first and last 3 games be in their division?  Rotate the home and away with the early and late every year.  And make sure teams don't have division games coming out of bye weeks unless both teams have the same bye,  and not road games on short weeks or weeks where teams have to travel across multiple time zones consecutive games.  It can't be that hard to take the cripples out of most schedules.

Make Thursday night games  Divisional games with BOTH teams coming off a BYE.

Both teams would then get  a couple days off over the weekend due to game be played on Thursday.

Real games should start labor day weekend no idea why they are so afraid of that date. People traveling? (LOL)

The NFL realized that Labor Day weekend isn't optimal because there will be less people watching TV because of the holiday. Need all the eyeballs they can to cash in on that advertising TV money. Like you, I loved it because you could enjoy NFL Sunday knowing you had the next day off and could partake in the alcoholic beverages a little more robustly with that knowledge.  :p

2 weeks until training camp. The summer is flying by. I'm ready and looking forward to a MUCH more normal season with a huge receding of COVID restrictions. Yeah Delta variant, blah blah blah......don't let the media get your knickers in a bunch. I know its a thing but lets keep it in perspective.

I don't know why they're doing it this way, especially considering they need to squeeze in another game for each team.

Why not have all final preseason games on Friday, like they normally do, then schedule the start of the regular season the following weekend. That would be Labor Day weekend. How nice would it be to have the opener on a holiday weekend?

As long as the vaccine is effective against variants?  I'm all good and comfy with the Darwinism.

And summer is going way too fast.
