I am a huge Tarantino fan, his movies are so different than a lot of the blockbuster stuff that gets put out. The dialogue, character building, and his unique way of telling a story really sets him apart. Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, and Django are his best IMO.
Pulp Fiction is an absolute favorite. I remember seeing it in one of the cool theatres that served dinner and drinks. As we were all leaving the theater we were boasting about the incredible movie, the dialogue, the acting, including Harvey Keitel's crazy scenes. I have never forgotten my friend looking at me and asking "Harvey Keitel was in it?" Good grief.;.. we didn't realize she'd gotten drunk and slept through almost the whole movie.
So good, though.
Maybe I was drinking too. I remember seeing it in the theater, what, almost 30 years ago? I haven't seen it since and, though I remember liking it, I don't remember being blown away by it.
But I think I've talked to at least two dozen people who count it among their favorites, so I think it's due for a re-watch.

Yeah I am not a 24 year old, flush with cash. I go the farmers markets with my grand-kid, but then again there are perhaps other places I would have went when I was 24 and had a pocket full of cash. That's great that you and your grandkid can go to farmers markets and live a life where you and yours are not surround by violence. Jaylen and his family didn't have that privilege. There are perhaps other places you would have went when you were 24 with a pocket full of cash? How many times does it need to be repeated? This was the neighborhood he was raised in. He was there to see the very family he entered the draft early to help get out. It was broad daylight. By your logic successful people should never again go home if they are from the "wrong side of town".
