That's pretty clear cut and stark...

Now here's what's eluding my limited intellect: What in the hell does social/media/marketing sponsorship activities have to do with the spread or prevention of Covid-19?

Everything else on that list seemed intuitive as to what you would have to do with people eating, breathing, wrestling, spitting on and showering with each other.

The spread or prevention of Covid has a lot to do with information and misinformation. I suspect the NFL doesn't want to its non-vaccinated players becoming celebrity "spokesmen" for anti-vax propaganda.

This memo basically says "get your ass vaccinated or else." My company is pretty much the same way. No one is going to get fired,  but if I don't get vaccinated, I have to jump through a lot of hoops. Plus, I can't go to conferences. My company wants to sell its conferences by telling people that our staff will be 100% vaccinated. Nothing wrong with that. And I suspect the NFL is the same way.

But I think this might be a much bigger deal than people are thinking. There are a lot of people out there who aren't just lazy or uneducated, but vehemently anti-vaccine. I could see this in ending up in the courts for a handful of players.

I won't be surprised if vaccination status is taken into account for bottom of the roster players competing for a slot. It may not be stated, but at least subconsciously it could be a factor.

Hadn't thought of this but yeah, you're probably right.

My only solace in this is that the Vikings players who (for whatever reason) haven't vaccinated yet, aren't that important in the grand scheme of things...

IT's pretty simple. We're living now in a world of people who will get sick from Covid/Variants, some will die from the s hit or suffer long hauler symptoms -- and then there is the rest of Earths population.

Yah Think???

I suspect this falls under a larger umbrella of what you agree to working for the NFL, and their ability to muzzle probably a whole lot.

Aren't Harry, Thielen and Cousins part of this group? I haven't been paying a lot of attention, but I thought I read that somewhere.

Seems alot like coercion.  Great way to make  medical decisions.  Imagine if they did this regarding anything else, the media, the union, everyone would be screaming.   You have freedom of choice, but we will punish you if you make the wrong choice.

Good old communism at work.  You shall abide or be put in the stalag.  The medical profession is loaded with people that refuse to take the vaccine.  If I were young, there is no way in hell I'd be taking it knowing the complications and the lack of research into the long-term side effects.  I have a very close family member that works in medicine, and trust me they are under-reporting the complications from the vaccine at this point, much as they over-exaggerated Covid numbers early on in the pandemic.  I still believe the vaccine may be good for society as a whole, but there are certain individuals that rightfully should be thinking long and hard before getting jabbed.

NEWSFLASH -

Today in El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego, the grave of Dr. Jonas Salk was found to be disturbed. According to San Diego authorities the doctor, most noted for the discovery polio vaccine which practically eliminated polio, “rolled over in there”
Rolled over?

He's spinning like a top.
