You had your pick of one player to start your new nfl team...

Mine would be Mahomes...

And I thought a little bit about Donald too.

Is there any debate about it???

I would think right now... Allen maybe,  I think Mahomes 8s more special, but I dont think Mahomes body type will hold up with his playing style if he loses a step or two, which they all do.  Allen is more built to take the hits and bounce back up.

Donald IMO is the most special player Iin the game currently,   but you can buy quality DTs,  top shelf passes dont hit the market.

I'm the opposite - Allen rushes 2x as much and takes a lot more hits too....

Below is a full statistical breakdown of the two this season.

Its got to be either Mahomes or Allen.  Allen is one year younger...so theres that.

I'll start with Miles Garrett. Until I have an OL, I want to at least mess up your QB.

How many rushes doesn't mean much ,  its how many hits they take along the way,  I love mahomes,  the QB,  not the dbag brother,  but I am always concerned that he puts himself in position to often to take wicked hits and sooner than later he's gonna miscalculate and really get hurt.

It's Mahomes and it's not even close right now.  He's a better pure passe than Josh Allen and he'll age better IMO.  Too much if Josh Allen's game is his rushing ability...  he's a more accurate (passing) version of Cam Newton.

The only other player you'd think about is Aaron Donald.  I still can't forgive Myles Garrett for hitting the Steelers QB with his own helmet.  He should have been banned from the league.

Mahomes or Donald, I believe it's got to be one of those two

Mahomes has a knack for not taking a direct hit while Allen tries to bowl people over which is great in the moment but not long term.  Remember Daunte thinking he was going to bowl over a 190lb DB?  It didn't go over well for him.  These guys are expert assassins back there and even though you might outwieght them by 50lbs it does not matter they will hit you and it will hurt.
