Darrisaw signed
#1
The contract is four years and is worth $13.35 million. The contract is guaranteed and also includes a $7.066 million signing bonus. The contract includes a fifth-year team option, which is standard in all rookie NFL contracts.
The former All-ACC offensive tackle was selected with the No. 23 overall pick in last month’s 2021 NFL draft.
Darrisaw was one of two Hokies selected in the first round. Cornerback Caleb Farley was selected at No. 22 overall — just one pick before Darrisaw by the Tennessee Titans.
Both players were expected to go higher at one point, however, a back injury caused Farley to slide just a bit, despite being the best cornerback prospect in the draft. Darrisaw happened to be in one of the deepest offensive tackle classes in recent memory.

There wasn’t anything worse than the McKinney hold out.

I personally like it much better as a formality as they do it now.
