Honestly, Cousins is the least of my concerns.
Would honestly like to see our defense maybe give up LESS than 30 points a game. ....BARF....

I'd say more like top 1/2 defense. In 2019 they were 15th in pass defense ypg and 13th in rush defense (14th overall) with the whole crew. What gave that team a boost to its #5 scoring D rank was a +11 turnover margin. Since then they lost Griffin/Joseph/Rhodes/Waynes and then Harris in FA with Alexander leaving and now returning, plus Hunter and Barr returning from 2020 injuries.
Wonnum/Dantzler/Gladney/whoever the hell is at S are still far too unproven for me to predict this D being 10 slots better than 2019. Better than the 2020 trainwreck no doubt, but top 5 is a biiiiiig jump. To show you how crazy human-pinball the NFL has become, the 2020 Vikings outscored the 2019 team by 23 points, and dropped from 8th to 11th in the scoring rankings. 2019: Scoring 8th total plays 27th rushes 4th, pass attempts 30th sack% 8th best (let's hear it for rollouts) 2020: Scoring 11th, total plays 19th, rushes 8th passes 27th sack% 23rd (even rollouts won't save you from Dozier) So even in 2020 when the Vikings are falling behind all the time because their D is helpless, they still end up 27th in pass attempts? Maybe we need to gag Zimmer when the Vikings have the ball. Hopefully an improved OL will reduce the sacks. Quote: @Skodin said:
