Man, passing on Darrisaw would not be healthy for my technology.

Personally, I think if Lance is there you work the phones like crazy and see who is willing to pay a king's ransom to move up to take him.  Doubt it happens, but that would be the best way to manage the board unless you somehow have Lance as a top 10 talent.

I'd be very surprised if the Vikings took AVT over Darrisaw. AVT might even be a better player, but the positional value for a left tackle is just so much higher than guard. And make no mistake AVT is not a guard/tackle. He's a guard only. 

The biggest question is...would they value Darrisaw over AVT enough to move up for him? Or is AVT, and the moves that would require (O'Neill or Cleveland at LT) enough of a consolation to stay put?

I guess it depends on what they decide to do with Cleveland. If that plan is to move him to LT, then I think AVT is the guy if they have him rated higher. I did a quick arm length check and Cleveland measures in at 33 3/8" vs. AVT's puny 32 1/8". Darrisaw blows them both away at 34 1/2". I hate to use arm length as an indicator of success, but here is an interesting article I found at SB Nation that really dives into the topic.

I'm with you TBro. Plans for Cleveland will determine the Vikes pick. How the Vikes feel about Wonnum will dictate when they draft a DE too

A lot of teams use 33 inches as the minimum threshold for their tackles. Don't know if the Vikings are one of those teams. 

I don't know if the Vikings intend to move Cleveland to tackle, or if they'll let the draft determine that. I sort of sense that the Vikings would prefer to keep Cleveland at guard because of how good he his at pulling out and getting in front of screens. Vikings ask their guards to do that more than their tackles. But i have nothing really to base that on. 

If the Vikings intend to move Cleveland to LT and have always intended that, then who they draft narrows right down.
