TERRACE MARSHALLWR, COLLEGE PLAYER
NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah reports that some medical issues "popped" for LSU WR Terrace Marshall. The issues arose at the medical combine held in Indianapolis. The athletic drills of the combine weren't done in Indianapolis this year but players are still getting thorough medical examinations before draft night. Marshall missed time in high school because of foot and leg injuries that would ultimately require surgery. He also spent some time on the sidelines at LSU because of a foot injury. It's possible that teams are simply doing their due diligence on his injury history but any notion of a long-term issue could hurt Marshall's draft stock. At 6'3" and 205 pounds, Marshall running a 4.38-second 40-yard dash puts him in the upper echelon of receiver prospects in terms of athleticism. If the medical issues aren't deemed serious, he should have no problem finding an NFL home on the first day of the draft.

*Rick Spielman enters the chat.
Spielman would undoubtedly have the ammo to spice up the deal for the Dolphins. Toss in an extra third on top of the 2022 first, along with some other minor details, and it could be enough sugar to sweeten the deal.
Suppose the Vikings were able to pull it off. That would probably be worth it. Slick Rick is more than capable of maneuvering the board once again to climb back up to ten picks. The only loss here is the 2022 first-round pick.
Ahh, good ol’ opportunity costs.
Moving up to six would put the Vikings in A1 position for a blue-chip player. They could have their choice of either: Fields, Lance, Sewell, Slater, Pitts, or Chase. Depending on how the board shakes up and what the Falcons and Bengals decide to do.
This could be further waned to either Sewell, Fields, or Lance if the situation were to commence.
Wolfson also reported a day ago that if the Vikings were to trade-up, it is most likely for Sewell, but Lance would be 2nd.
Adding the 20-year-old stalwart left tackle, Penei Sewell, would jump-start the offensive line that takes form like this in week one:

Checkmate.

Sewell puts the OL on a different level. I think Uncle Gil compared him to Ogden. I see Anthony Munoz. Regardless, if the Bengals pass, and I think they will, you Do It.

Last year Joe Burrough lobbied for tagging AJ Green. This year I believe he's doing the same for Chase.

Take a big swing, Rick. Or at least pick up the phone when I call.

While working for Chiefs nine years ago, our college director posed this question about Russell Wilson in final draft meetings, “What don’t we like about this guy besides his height?”. Guessing same question being posed in draft rooms right now about Devonta Smith’s weight.
