@PFF_College Jaelon Darden: 26 TD catches from the slot since 2019 8 more than any other player in college football.

The new Thielen (Simi Fehoko). 6-4, 222, 4.43, great ball skills, just needs some route refinement. None better than Thielen to help with that. Probably 3rd or 4th round.
And below him, the new Diggs (Shi Smith). Probably 4th or 5th round. Unbelievably quick Diggsy feet and Deebo-like toughness. Like Diggs in 2015, true talent maybe disguised by circumstances. In Smith's case, a poor QB and depth issues with Deebo and Bryan Edwards.

Jaelon Darden, WR, North Texas: Dane Brugler’s No. 29 receiver, speedy but short at 5-foot-7, showed up in five mocks, with three in the fourth round and two putting him in the sixth. He had video-game numbers last season, catching 19 touchdown passes in nine games after getting 12 the year before. “His foot quickness and home run gear will leave defenders in his dust,” Brugler wrote in his draft guide, listing him with a 4.44 in the 40-yard dash.

I think Receiver is major need for this team. After our top two starters, we are left with Johnson, Bebe, Osborn, and Chisena on the depth chart. Two of those didn't catch a pass last year and are only special teamers. We really need to add an immediate contributor through the draft. Fortunately it's a deep position. Darden reminds me a lot of McKinnon with better receiving skills. Having a shifty receiver who can find some open space and have the potential to break open a play would be a great addition to our WR corps. Johnson and Bebe have proven to be streaky and/or injury prone. They are too inconsistent to be counted on.
