Lamp just signed a one year deal with the Bills. Not sure what the hangup was here....but we NEED to pull two starting caliber offensive lineman from this draft.
The hangup was likely his inability to stay healthy. If you look at who the Vikings added, from Tomlinson to P2 to Cole, all have been extraordinarily injury free.

I’ve searched far and wide for the lie. Couldn’t find it.

Never forget that Zack Baun gave Rashawn Slater more problems than Chase Young

Yeah well he played and started all 16 games last season. Thought he fit well from a scheme and upside standpoint.

Just count me as nervous on Spelman's inability to identify mid round lineman. He can't miss this year

Yep, he finally got in a full year. His first in 4 seasons. I wanted Lamp too, because I'm a fan and fans love upside. But let's be honest. Lamp's PFF grade at LG last year was 49. For perspective, Dozier was 45 and Elflein 48.

The LG we signed, Mason Cole, graded 68 in his first start at LG against DeForest Buckner, then the following week scored over 80 as a pass blocker against the Bucs vaunted pass rush. And Cole is two years younger than Lamp...and never been hurt...even going back to high school...and he can play center, which we needed after moving on from Brett Jones...and which Lamp has never done.

In a few years, we may just regret not taking a flyer on the Lamp man, but I'm pretty good with what we did.

I certainly would of gambled on Lamp's upside over Coles. I'm not sure what all goes into PFF grading, but according to them Lamp had one penalty all year long and allowed 2 sacks in 1,174 snaps. Cole led the league in false starts from the center position.

Is what it is. We just need this draft to pan out for us and need a couple starters on the offensive line.

Good thing we didn't trade for him to play C.

I won't hold my breath on him at either position

Seeing lots of buzz on Merrimack LG Sam Cooper.

He's spoken w/ the #Browns a bunch. The #Dolphins & #Chiefs have shown interest. #Texans, #Giants,(met a bunch of times) #Patriots & #Vikings attended his Pro Day. Met w/ scouts from #Chargers, #Bills, #Falcons & #Eagles at an ASG.
