Another day another mass murder in Amerika...
Extremes are bad on both ends of the political spectrum. Trump was an absolute embarrassment but Biden is too liberal for my tastes. Florida restaurants are having a hard time hiring back their wait/kitchen staffs because of all the elevated amounts of free money.

I'm still waiting for anyone from the left side of things to defend both disarming citizens and dismantling police forces while they are going light on prosecution/punishment for so very many criminals....

that hiring problem is nothing new,  business owners have been complaining about that across the country since they were allowed to reopen months ago,  but yet the extreme left is already talking about yet another round of stimulus checks,  i guess once you are in so far WTF,  let er rip.

Big problem around here.  It slightly alleviated itself when the $600 ran out but now that theres bonus unemployment for the foreseeable future I see no reason that the issue wouldn't continue.

So all of the left is for taking all the guns away?  Defunding the police?  And pushing for lighter sentences?

Which left do you pay attention to?
Responsible gun ownership with considerable background checks is logical and non partisan.  Police reform and ending qualified immunity so we tax payers don't have to compensate victims for the bad apples of PD is logical and non partisan.  Evaluating our justice system, punishment for varying crimes is fair particularly related to drugs, which is also logical and when viewed through the lens of economics, should also be non partisan.

Broad strokes get you nowhere in nuanced conversations

irony.

And gaslighting as well.  So much for nuance.

If you consider these points and post gaslighting, you have no concept of intellectual honesty and discussion.

When Zanary says "the left", the language indicates everyone left of center which is dishonest or foolish, I can't tell which one.

So you believe too that all "the left" conforms to the extreme far left?  If so, why is Joe the president and not Bernie?  Good lord.

You want people to take you seriously?  Stop being ridiculous

LMAO, great advice coming from Skodin.  If you read what you quoted, he said "still waiting for anyone from the left ... to defend" these bizarre policies.

That would be an opportunity for anyone on the left to say, no, I don't defend that.  Mike already defended it.  But go ahead, it should be easy.  Just say "those policies are ridiculous."

Joe Biden said he doesn't support defunding the police. Only the progressive loons support defuding the police.

Reminder: I work in a city that's had generations of unchecked leftism in its leadership.  This, plus similar optics from similar cities, kinda shows a different direction than you're espousing:

1.  Responsible gun ownership is very ironic to lead off with, as the knee-jerk regulations always punish LEGIT GUN OWNERS, including punitive taxes (Seattle charges specific gun/ammo taxes to, again, LEGIT owners) and pushing for tragically murderous limitations on types and magazine sizes...laws that will be ignored by criminals.  This really does seem to point to either delusion or a desire to thin the legit gun ownership in the country.

2.  Police reform has been under a "DEFUND" mantra this whole time, and it's happened massively up here.  Furthermore, leftist legislators are simply playing to the very same rioting crowds they're empowering by putting up percentage cuts before anyone actually runs the numbers and gives an educated, reasonable concept of how/where to make budget changes.  The modern left plays optics ahead of all else, and is all too happy to risk lives and livelihoods in the name of media trends.

3.  Violent criminals and repeat criminals are seemingly getting booked and released in less time than it takes for the rest of us to settle a speeding ticket.  We've had hundred of assaults happen right by the King County courthouse, and this started before any of us had heard of George Floyd..

Broad strokes are the very talking points of the modern left, who generalize shamelessly in efforts to play to a crowd that remains upset and unstable largely because they're told to be that way.
