He had a rough year last year, actually graded out worse than Dozier if you can believe it. But he's only 28, been to 5 Pro Bowls, and been a pretty consistently great blocker previously. Might be worth checking out.

I read that. Sometimes guys have bad years. There's so much that goes into it. Scheme, the guy next to you, injuries. 5-time pro bowlers don't suddenly suck at 28, so something weird happened. Seems to be a lot to choose from out there.

Something went horribly wrong with the Chargers OL last year, I wonder what the back story is on that, coach changes, missing Phil?

96.  T MATT FEILERFeiler should be a player in demand this offseason, given the state of offensive line play in some areas of the NFL, and especially because he won’t be among the marquee names.
Feiler has extensive starting experience with the Steelers at both right tackle and inside at left guard, and he has graded well at both positions. In four seasons, he has never earned an overall PFF grade lower than 65.0 and hits free agency still well short of 30 years old.
Feiler’s best season from a grading standpoint came while starting at right tackle, the more valuable position. And at the bare minimum, he would represent one of the best “sixth linemen” in the game. Often the best value signings happen in the second wave of free agency, and Feiler would upgrade a lot of offensive lines.
Contract Analysis: Feiler’s ability to play on both sides of the offensive line, as well as outside at tackle and inside at guard, makes him a very intriguing free agent. At no position is it more valuable to excel in multiple roles, and if Feiler could serve as the swing tackle and the first interior offensive lineman off the bench, that could be tremendously valuable to any club.
Prediction: Two years, $12 million ($6M APY): $8 million total guaranteed, $5 million fully guaranteed at signing.

Gimme, gimme, gimme.

192. G AUSTIN BLYTHEAustin Blythe’s play has been all over the map over the last three seasons for the Rams, performing well in 2018 before struggling badly the following year and then bouncing back in 2020, at least in terms of his run blocking. He may have played his way to the bench, but teams in real need of an answer at guard may give him a shot to compete for a starting job.
Contract Analysis: Blythe is a solid pass-blocker and can play right guard or kick inside to center, making him a worthy addition for most teams at a reasonable price.
Prediction: Blythe signs for two-years, $5.5 million ($2.75M APY), $3 million total guaranteed.

199. G JON FELICIANOAfter four years in the league as a backup, Feliciano has started for the Bills in each of the last two seasons. He graded at 63.1 in 2019 and 64.8 last year, ranking 41st and 40th respectively. Feliciano has ranked among the best in the league in adding positively graded plays in the run game, though he’s been slightly below average as a pass blocker. It nets out to a reasonable starter, so Feliciano brings value to teams looking for a starter on the inside.
Contract Analysis: A team like the Lions that seem to be intent on pounding the rock would be a good fit for Feliciano, with their right guard from 2020 in Oday Aboushi also set to hit free agency.
Prediction: Feliciano signs for two-years, $8 million ($4M APY), $3.5 million total guaranteed.

With all these OL's getting released, the lower cap and the heavy amount of round 1 talent you'd think a lot of these guys are going to get 1 year prove it deals for cheap.  The question will be, do they want to prove it here or for another team.

Would love Feiler and I would favor signing him over the more expensive options like Thuney or Zeitler (whom the Vikings tried to trade for twice, so you have to think they're interested).

But I think I might go even a little cheaper at guard (Lane Taylor, 1 yrs — $1.5m avg/yr) so we can add maybe two guards, or also add a safety like Malik Hooker (1 yrs — $2m avg/yr), leaving our big spend at 3T. Shelby Harris (3 yrs — $11.13m avg/yr) or Geno (??) or Rankins (2 yrs — $7.25m avg/yr).

IF we can add two starting guards, a safety and a 3T, and hold serve with a rotation opposite Hunter of Weatherly, Wonnum and Odenigbo, then that frees us up to take any position we want at #14. Even QB, WR, TE, CB....

I wonder if Spielman will try to sign players that have been released vs unrestricted free agents in order to NOT lose out on potential compensatory pick(s).

I think they only get one for Harris and maybe one for Wilson if he signs elsewhere.

I do not think they have anyone else worth a large contract.
