OT: Is there any good reason to continue DST?

two weeks from Sunday we turn the clocks ahead an hour and lose an hours sleep...

I hate it.

Why do we continue this???

It is very annoying. 

The worst was when they changed the dates.  Had some old badge system at work that wouldn't recognize the change in dates or that I turned of the DST automatic change.  So 4 times a year I had to dial in and manually fix the blasted thing.

I retired, I care as much as Vanguard cares for happenings in GB.

I would rather be on DST all the time,  I hate driving into the sun in the morning and into it at night going home in the winter.  lets just move it ahead and leave it there all year.

I dig it. In Colorado it always sort of represents the beginning of summer. More patio time, grilling, baseball...and of course...

That would require living in Minnesota,  I would rather fight the sun.

I love DST.  the transition kind of sucks, but I'd much prefer having the sun later in the evening rather than before I wake up.
