OT: Working From Home?
#11
Been stuck WFH since last March, with no end in sight. In some ways I don't mind because as I age gracefully I realize I hate people and don't want to be anywhere near a majority of them.

Does you hate list includes us???  If so, how deeply?  Just trying to gauge my threat level - yellow, orange or Red?  Notice no Purple option.

I had been working from home, was planning on retiring last Sept. but took till January to find a replacement.  Could have rode it out another year, but would have required me to go in more, wasn't worth it.  To much interaction with folk I considered high risk.  Manufacturing environment, about 20% have tested positive, casino crowd.  As long as I could stay in my office it was okay, but business needed more floor support.  Glad to be done, reading for pleasure and sharing my keen insights with y'all.  Figure things will pickup this spring, kids are allowed on the sidewalk and the snowbanks are keeping off my lawn, for now.

I wouldn't say so. Remember, this is an online forum. But if a few of us made it out to a game and we have to interact in person, I'd probably be giving out a few stink eyes here and there. You can always bring the threat level down a few notches by buying me beer though.

I am very thankful that I can work at home, I know not everyone can. I worked at home part time before so for me the adjustment wasn't as shocking as it may have been for others. I think that more companies will offer work at home that can.

Was at home for few months and then splitting time between WFH and the office.  Retired at the end of the year but occasionally visiting office to wrap up some projects and clean out office after almost 39 years...
