OT: Working From Home?
#1
Just wondering how many are still working from home. I'm in IT, so it pretty much lends itself to a WFH situation. No end in sight. Possibly Fall for a return to the office, but nothing definitive.

I am still working from home. I am not seeing an end either. The difference is I work with people and their mental health. For some people, visits and check ins over the phone work for them and for others it's more challenging. For me, I get a lot done and no office bs. I go to the office to check my mail. I have a home office set up. When I hook up my laptop to the office monitor, it doesn't work. Tried a couple new cables but nothing. No issues at home.

Still at home. Been in the office twice since March 13th. We're supposed to return at 50% capacity April 30th, targeting a full return June 30th. But we'll see. I work for a healthcare company, so "an abundance of caution" is our guiding principle.

Yep, also in IT.Looks as if fall at earliest and then only 2 days a week.  It's so great, best thing from this pandemic.

I do both.  Usually I stay at the office when the kids are in school and work from home when they're not.  I'm self employed though, and get make my schedule up as I go.

I am still at home with no computer issues because my company folded back in August Smile

My wife on the other hand is a 4th grade teacher and it all started horrible but has settled in.  She goes to school but the kids are remote.  This week she is home because of snow.

My future daughter in law works as the program coordinator for a non-profit called the Colorado Mental Health Network and she's been doing a lot of peer support training over the phone. She loves it.

I’m on year 19 of working from home, and I’m here to tell you that I hope I never have to go to work outside of the home again. I am a medical transcriptionist and this is the very best environment for that field. I hope all of you can continue to work from home, if it’s what you’d prefer to do. No office BS and a lot less stress, IMO anyway.

I'm a remote software developer for an Ohio hospital (Bowling Green).  We do have an office in Fargo, but I've been working from home (or the lake cabin) since last March.  The office lease expires in May, and we're not renewing it, so I'll be using the home or cabin office full time.

I do miss my morning bike rides into the office, but now I do after work rides on the local single track trails instead.  We groom the trails in the winter too for fatbikes so I'm actually having more fun riding off road than my daily commutes.

In the office and prefer it that way as I am much more efficient, mainly because of the dual monitors in the office as opposed to the laptop. Wife is a 2nd grade teacher who is in the office at all times but has a hybrid method where half the kids come in while the others do online. Definitely more of an adjustment for her than me
