In addition to the election was stolen bullshit propaganda, a Jewish man won a Senate seat and the first black man won a Senate seat in Georgia. I think that loss of control set some people off. There are people going to different state capitols across the country. Michigan just banned open carry at the Capitol. I think that is a good thing. There are way too many people out of control. It has been boiling over. The attempt to kidnap the Governor of Michigan was dismissed by many. The mayor of DC and the Governors of Maryland and Virginia are telling people not to attend the inauguration because of these fuckwits. These are some ugly times right now.
How are these fuckwits different than the violent protesters that took over our nation's  big cities this summer?  And don't use the race card,  that was not about social justice,  that was about assholes using a cause to stir shit up.  Where was the outrage then.  This is all bullshit.  Either people need to call it all out as criminal and demand investigations and prosecutions,   or people need to stay on the sidelines.  The outrage now by those silent all of 2020 is purely political.
The fact you can’t understand the difference between a group of people that have been illegally targeted by law enforcement for centuries, that they are beaten, shot and killed due to their skin color and they are fed up with the lack of accountability from white cops being held responsible .... marching for equality, freedom and civil rights.

Also it’s been talked about - rightwing angry white guy arrested for vandalism while in the BLM crowd?

https://www.forbes.com/sites/mattperez/2020/07/28/mystery-umbrella-man-vandal-from-minnesota-police-say-hes-a-white-supremacist-instigator/amp/

Here’s another one arrested for shooting at the precinct:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/10/23/man-linked-far-right-boogaloo-bois-charged-after-allegedly-firing-ak-47-minneapolis-precinct/?outputType=amp

So many of these violent, destructive acts came from angry white supremacists, not BLM supporters.

Contrasted with an attempted coup, when a bunch of angry white people who are convinced an election was stolen (when it wasn’t) because they have been egged on by their racist leader for years, and decided to violently overthrow the government and kill cops in the process.

Jesus Christ Jimmy .... if you honestly can’t see the difference here because you think it’s politicial?

You are the very definition of white privilege flirting with racism.
Come one SF, if you think the bulk of the bad this summer was caused by righties, I think you need to lay off the blue paint fumes for awhile.  You'll absolutely be able to find articles saying the other guys did it every time there is a pot that boils over but that doesn't take away who started and caused the bulk of the problem.
Can you please explain the difference between the "white supremacists" that entered the capital buildingfor two hours last week and the "communists" that seceded an actual portion of Seattle for the better part of a month this summer?  Both seem quite treasonous to me.

I'll start by ignoring your definition of the groups.

I understand my points below will be picked apart for semantics but this is an attempt to show the differences.

A. Cause

Seattle: Demonstrations because of unjust killing of George Floyd (fact) in particular and others.
Capitol: Demonstrations because they want to "Stop the Steal" which of course is a lie (promoted by the President and others) as the elections were not stolen (proven false many times over)

B. Approach:

Seattle: Started as a peaceful demonstrations that degenerated to violence

Capitol: Started with violent intent (they were fighting to stop the steal - their words not mine). They were going to fight and "Hang Mike Pence". They brought a noose and guillotine.

C. Law and Order Presence:

Seattle: Massive police presence with rampant large scale arrests
Capitol: Very few officers and few arrests till after the fact. Cops taking pictures with and "enabling" protesters. Some arrested have even been released already.

D. Target:

Seattle: No one in particular (goal was to create awareness)
Capitol: Congress members, the speaker of the house and the VP of the United States. Pretty much anyone who was against their agenda.

E. President's Reaction:

Seattle: Thugs and terrorists

Capitol: Patriots and "we love you"

F. Venue:

Seattle: Seattle - a city in WA

Capitol: Washington DC the capital of the United States and heart of the American democracy (while congress was in session)

G. Race
Seattle: Largely blacks with an equally significant white population. Had antifa flags (antifa is not classified as a racist or terrorist org. Only Trump and his supporters do)
Capitol: Predominantly white with very few if all any blacks. Also had racist artifacts examples: confederacy flags, noose, proud boys t-shirts and members, 6MWE tshirts (all artifacts of racist and terrorist organizations)

H. International Reaction:
Seattle: Support and sympathy
Capitol: Denouncing the event

I can go on and on but please do not equate the events

Sarah Sanders humiliated by her high school government teacher
Sarah Sanders humiliated by her high school government teacher for not understanding the 1st Amendment

On Saturday, Huckabee Sanders -- who is reportedly considering a run for political office in her native Arkansas -- complained on Twitter that she had lost over 50,000 followers on Twitter after the social media company shut down multiple QAnon accounts for inciting violence with conspiracy rumors.

According to the former Donald Trump spokesperson, "I've lost 50k+ followers this week. The radical left and their big tech allies cannot marginalize, censor, or silence the American people. This is not China, this is United States of America, and we are a free country."

Her tweet, in turn, prompted one of her high school teachers to reach out and correct her.

"You were a student at Little Rock Central High when I taught AP Government there, but you didn't take the advanced class," wrote Dana D. Deree. "If you had, maybe you would better understand the First Amendment and the difference between limits on government and freedoms for private individuals."

Adding insult to injury, the teacher added in a separate tweet, "I've taught Sunday School too. You didn't learn those lessons either."

Alarming, heroic, dramatic...yes, I get all that. Capital police officer Eugene Goodman should get a medal.

But this also looks remarkably like Rick Grimes luring a herd of walkers away from Alexandria. It appears both in fiction and reality, the brainless cannot think independently and will just growl and follow the shiny object en masse....

Just don't know how you can't think looking at that what a bloodbath that would have been if it were BLM protestors?

Its still as shocking, sad and maddening to me today to see these POS wandering the capital hall as it was a week ago. And nope, still not surprised either.

True that and BLM protesters would not have been literally let in the doors by police like these traitors were.

Think about this:

1. There are more troops now outside the capitol than in Iraq or Afghanistan.

2. This is the first time troops have slept outside the Capitol to guard it.

Maybe the only good thing that will come of this is both major parties finally realizing that painting each side as the enemy does nothing to move us forward as a nation.

I'd like to see more bi-partisanship and less politics.  Trump has fractured our nation, it's going to take a strong collaborative effort from our elected leaders to heal these wounds.
