Something about all this smells. The protestors got in there entirely to easy. Almost no push back in one of the most secure buildings in America.

I have no doubts that they were Trump people with a dash of people out just to cause problems but something is off about all this.

I have little doubt either Trump or his Chief of Staff or someone in his orbit ordered cops and NG to stand down, so “his” people could get in there and stop the election without too much violence.

Who else have we been warning about wanting to burn this fucking country down on his way out because he is a sore loser?

Clearly there was a stand down order - who had authority to give it and who would benefit from it?

C’mon detectives .... you really can’t connect the dots here?

Dont you suppose if Trump had given a stand down order, somebody would have spilled the beans already?

Rioters breaking into the capital in his name does nothing for his image.

When has his image ever mattered to his base?  He can grab em by the pussy, mock the disabled, ridicule gold star families and POWs, fleece taxpayers for his own vacations, cheat on his taxes and wives, and his base loves him for it.

What’s wrong with a little sedition if it’s for a good cause?

1. The minority (now majority) leader of the senate and the speaker of the house called the VP of the US and the VPs staff had them on hold for 25 minutes and then tells them the VP will not come on the phone. How is this even possible?
2. The Gov of MD could not deploy troops to the capitol because there was no authorization from the sec of defense and pentagon. They had to wait two hours before getting authorization from a secretary of the army (who was not even part of the chain of command)

The VP works for the president, the head of the pentagon and dept of state were appointed by Trump.

Yeah let's pretend we don't know what happened here and wait for an 'investigation". Where have we heard that before?

There is nothing here that needs to be investigated or discussed. The very bare minimum that should be done ncludes:
1. Trump must be removed ASAP.
2. Pence needs to be held accountable to explain how on earth he was unavailable and refused to take a call especially after what happened yesterday. Pelosi is the third in command for the country for gods sake.
3. The chain of command at the pentagon need to be held accountable and heads need to roll
4. Everyone that was part of the riot mob needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
5. The leaders of the republican party should be put on the spot. Mitch and McCarthy should be held accountable.
6. Firing or having people retire from the capitol police is a diversion

What happened yesterday was bad however it is not the worst. How we go about what happened will set the stage for future events and accountabilities.
Not holding our leaders and those we entrust with power responsible sets the stage for the US to become a third world democracy - something I personally know too well about. A clear message needs to be sent to the perpetrators and enablers that deters anyone to attempt such in the future.
This is not a democrat vs republican issue.
