Ill give it to Spielman: He's good at wasting draft picks on kickers and long snappers.

Cutting was pick # 250 out of 254.  
Carlson is the starting K for the Raiders we just couldn't withstand his rookie slump.  He was a late 5th round pick.

Less then 5% of players drafted after the 3rd round every become consistent starters so taking some chances is what the late rounds are for.  Spelly likes to load up on chances to hit the odds and for the most part he doesn't really give up much to accumulate those picks/chance.  Just some perspective.

I think Cutting was the ONLY LS drafted last year? Not certain, but is that right?

I think Cutting was the ONLY LS drafted last year? Not certain, but is that right? 
Yes he was at 250 but their was a strong rumor that pick 255 was going to be a LS but their were only 254 picks Smile
