Well that's the season

Its interesting: I've pulled away from social media lately but this morning I went on both Facebook and Twitter. What 'fans' say about the Vikings after they lose is mind blowing. Insane, really. So much anger and indignation, but not even in anything you'd consider normal, this is borderline psychotic. I'm reading this going, 'holy shit'..... :#

Yep. Rational thoughts go out the window after a loss (can't say I'm immune from acting that way at times either). Some losses are tougher to swallow than others, and this was one of them. There are some teams that you just don't want to lose to, and Dallas is one of those teams no matter the records.

Really all that needs to be read here is

"Facebook and Twitter is psychotic."

The rest are just unnecessary words.

Actually, "fans" is all you need to say. Fans of every team overreact. And when they lose a game they think they should've won, they go crazy. It's not just facebook or twitter or sports radio. It's boards like this, too.

The ratio of reasonable to rabid on this board is better than most, so that's why I'm here.

What upset me about this game was that for about the 4th time this season (maybe more), the Vikings had a chance to put it away with a sustained drive. They couldn't do it. Happened in Seattle, Chicago, Tennessee, others. You cannot put this defense in that position. It's just not going to hold up.

Wait a minute - so if "that's the season", were all of you counting on this team to run the table? Or even just beat all the "weak" teams aside form TB and NO? Oh, come on, it was pretty inevitable this team would fail to show up for at least a couple games they were "supposed to win" and lay an egg. I thought Zimmer would stay aggressive until he got to .500 before relaxing, but he apparently got off the hot seat and he'll manage another 2-3 wins to keep his job safe enough.
