Zero doubt Patterson is a bust. Just because he's a great KRer doesn't mean he's not a bust, lol.

I like Cordarrelle but he is what he is: very limited but highly specialized.

Taking Keenan Allen there would've been a huge reach. He was coming off an injury and ran a 4.7 forty. But if you're gonna play hindsight, what we should've done was take Deandre Hopkins where we took Sharrif Floyd and then take Kawaan Short where we took Patterson.
Does kinda make you wonder why no one--not the Vikings, Raiders, Patriots or Bears--could teach Patterson how to play receiver.
I was hoping for Hopkins. I wanted him really bad. There was some silly stuff that came up about him and his friends trashing a hotel room t the combine. I felt it was a planted story.
Sometimes you just have to go with the "sure" thing. Hopkins was clearly the better WR but he could not play special teams. So we went with upside:-(. Hopkins sure hands and ability to go get the ball in the air were just amazing.

Yeah, I liked him too, but the reality of that draft was that we needed a 3T in the worst way. That was probably our biggest need. And there, all the way down at 23, sat Shariff Floyd, a player almost everyone had as a top 10 pick, some even top 5. Pretty tough to pass on that.

It's ironic that Cordarrelle and AT joined the team the same year back in 2013, and it's the undrafted guy that's the #1 receiver for the Vikes. AT also shined Monday night with his two TDs. B) [Image: c2b81208c1ec23229b89f59d14583c49]

You are right. I was just looking at the "flashy" positions then. Back then I could careless what 3T was. I just knew Nuke was the player I wanted/wished for Smile
