Buffalo calls Rick...

and wants to trade Diggs for Jefferson straight up.  What would you do?
I'd say "Stefon who?"  B)
I'm totally ok with the diva Diggs moving on.  Don't miss him or his antics one bit, and now I think the Vikes upgraded.  JJ has the hands, speed, routes, and is one tough dude after the catch.

You cant make that trade...

jj has a crazy high ceiling. He's already excelling in the NFL and he's only what? 15 years old?

Hell, he wasn't in the least bit intimidated by a VERY VERY GOOD Bears D.

Diggs is playing extremely well for Buffalo. But the Vikings have a rising star in Justin Jefferson, sans the diva-tude.

Nope, I would not make that trade - and I was a huge critic of trading Diggs. Jefferson is playing at nearly the level of Diggs, he is younger and will cost much less for three more years.
But it was a huge risky gamble to swap a proven star for a late 1st-round pick. The Vikings won the gamble - this time. Everyone here knows the odds of that happening are about 1 in 3.

The Diggs trade was the right move and I was advocating for it for months before it happened.  Addition by subtraction IMHO.

Frankly I don't miss the weekly "cryptic tweets", is he happy?, is he not? He loves us, he loves us not...

Don't want to be here?  BYE.

One thing I like about JJ, is that he tries to score / gain yards after the catch and after initial contact...granted defenses will try and strip the ball out, but the guy lowers his pads and fights for yards, and that's rare, and damn impressive.

Diggs might be a better receiver right now, but even that's not a slam dunk. And even if it were, you don't trade a 21 year old with this much upside, making $3M a year for a 26 year old making $14M a year.

I was not a big fan of trading Diggs, but the Vikings got a lottery out of it. And it's not just Jefferson. Vikings also got a 2020 5th and 6th, as well as a 2021 4th rounder. We also traded the 6th for a 2021 5th.

So Diggs became Justin Jefferson, Harrison Hand, 2021 4th rounder, 2021 5th rounder.

Maybe RS saw what was coming with the 2020-2022 Salary Cap . The trade went down 3/20/20.

Reduced salary cap the next 3 years would've made it virtually impossible to keep Diggs and Thielen.

RS reduced Salary Cap, got rid of a malcontent and found a guy to replace Diggs.

Hard to poke holes in a move that hits the Trifeca like that.
