Teddy is what he is

the Viking's swung for the fences with KC...I applaud em for that.

They did their due diligence and were (are) trying to win a SB while I'm still on the planet.

That's all I can ask for I guess.
But then they doubled down on the mistake,   and they should be faulted for that.

Unfortunately, this is really going to hurt the franchise.

Why you gotta say things to hurt me?

Nothing more. He's not a great QB, he's average at best. Short throws. Look at his box score against Tampa. Brutal. He's not going to win a game for you.Great kid, not a good NFL QB.

at the end of the day, he is an NFL QB.  Starting too.

Teddy is a good QB, safe, smart, clutch.  Puts his team in a position to win often.

On a bad team, they won't win muchOn a good team, they will be in the playoff huntOn the talented teams of 2016-2020, could be contenders year in, year out.
He has no one on that team except for Anderson as McCafferey has been out a significant part of the year.
Somewhere in another universe Teddy's knee never explodes, we keep our 2017 1st rounder, make a deep run in the 16 playoffs, make the Super Bowl in 17, Kirk never happens

Agreed. He's not garbage, don't mean to imply that.

Hard to blame that one on Teddy. At one point he was 13 for 13. He also scored 3 TDs...against what might be the NFL's best defense. Panthers' problem is no running game without CMC and no defense. They were killed in TOP and the Bucs punted exactly 0 times.

Hope he's OK.
He completed 18 passes for 136 yards. I mean, lol, its all dump off shit. The Panthers are 3-7. I mean when do the excuses stop for Teddy? He's a game manager at best. Cousins is getting roasted right now and so would any other QB of a 3 win team. But what I see in this forum is always excuse making for him regardless. And I say this liking the kid. All I keep hearing in here is Teddy just wins games. He does?
This sure sounds like a lot of his box scores in 2014 and 2015. There was a certain attitude here with Bridgewater in which he was praised like somebody's little brother - "Oh my, he has improved so much, look how he's grown!" I think people forget that in the 2016 preseason, the optimism wasn't based on his past performance as a passer, but on a projection that he was going to step up and become a game-changer after mastering Norv Turner's offense.

I think one can argue just as convincingly that if Bridgewater had not blown out his knee, he would have been caught up in the offensive coordinator carousel and the poor OL play and regressed like every QB not named Keenum to play for the Vikings since Favre.

Just reminded me of the 96 questions BRob did on the Viking that would
have been the last kid picked.  It was a near consensus as Nick Eaton (I
think that was the guard that went to the saints) as he looked like a
out of shape middle aged guy.  But at the end, Brob said, at the end of
the day, he is a starter in the NFL, so there.

Unfortunately, I have two members of my family that are ardent Carolina Panther fans.  I can tell you that they are not enamored with Teddy.  He actually has good weapons and a decent offensive line -- though the Panther's defense is awful.  To answer a question above, even without CMC, the Panthers have DJ Moore, Robbie Anderson and Curtis Samuel at wideout and Mike Davis at RB.  Not all world, but not awful, either.  Where Teddy has not progressed is his penchant for the check-down.  On the Panthers first series yesterday, he was 3-3 and they went 3 and out.  And there were no penalties or fumbles or muffs -- just 3 completions that could not net 10 yards.  The week before he engineered one of the worst/weakest efforts at a last minute drive I have seen from a starting QB in the league.  Count me as glad we moved on from Teddy.

He's the check down master and always would have been regardless. That's his game. Like I said, this board looks at him thru rose colored glasses.
