I could see it.

no offense Sticky, but if we had every young QB you have had a woody for, we would be the Cleveland Browns.
Ha ha, no woody here! Im just saying I could see the Vikings possibly being interested.
I can too. Not as the answer, but a bridge maybe if we move on from Cousins and draft a young QB.

Yep, that's what I'm saying.

Maybe...but not necessarily. Vikings may be willing to trade him after the seasons, or even just release him, take the hit now and be free of his money in '22.

Now that I've slept on this idea... Ricky does love him some awful qb's, he might have his eye on Mitch as his next shitty project.

We seem to like to bring in ex-Bears, so maybe they would consider him. I would not. But again, if they decide they have to cut Cousins before 2021 to avoid the 2022 commitment, we are going to be looking for some kind of Donovan McNabb or Matt Cassel type of vet, even if they draft a QB.

His game would remind of Case honestly.  Occasional bad decisions, good but not great arm, good enough mobility to extend drives.  I mean it's not crazy, considering we saw with very good weapons, a Zimmer D, and a mobile QB what can happen.

He would be cheap and sadly, better than Mannion, Browning, and Stanley.  No other teams are going to poach Browning or Stanley off the practice squad.

Spielman has a general aversion to drafting backup QBs.

The drafting of Stanley was probably due to having so many picks.

The last time they drafted a backup QB they got Booty.

Trubisky does suck but he sucks less than what we currently have IMHO.

I'd pay him the same as Mannion if he would accept it.

He does have more actual experience than Mannion.

What could it hurt?

Ideally, he would hand off to Cook most of the time and, like the article stated, use play action to limit his reads.

Could be a sneaky good pickup.

I wont put money on that though.

I'd rather take a chance on Jameis Winston.
