Very sad, but this is why you sign long term contracts vs taking a chance like something like this happens.
Yup...

Don't know how close they got, but not close enough to seal a deal...

I certainly wish the best for Dak and I wish for 8/8 or 7/9 for The Cowboys this year.

After being transported to a local hospital, they've stated the he will be going into surgery. (Not that that wasn't obvious)
Many times surgery will wait until the swelling subsides, the fact that they are going in immediately tells me its probably really bad.  Wish him well

The bone was through the skin... compound fracture/dislocation. From what I read they wanted to get in quickly and cleanse the wound.

He will be fine, millions of dollars, all the best health care and rehab you could have imagined.  It's an ankle injury
In the time since the OP was written, 4 vets in America committed suicide

Maybe we keep those "thoughts and prayers" where they should be

I feel bad for both. Dak's brother committed suicide so he is definitely grieving that loss. I feel for veterans that are in desperate need of help. I feel bad for anyone that is in pain and suffering.

No doubt, but all this somber tone and "thoughts and prayers" is ridiculous.

Dak will be fine, people break their ankle all the time, very few have millions in the bank account to protect them.
