I thought this was interesting:

Report: New York tenants were not aware they would be featured at the Republican National Convention
Jeanine Santucci
USA TODAY
Tenants of New York City housing who were featured in a video at the Republican National Convention said they were not made aware how the video was going to be used, according to The New York Times.
Three of the four people featured in the video told the Times that they were misled into appearing before the convention. The video was used to criticize New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, a Democrat who also sought his party's nomination, and his handling of public housing, and to attribute funding and improvements to the Trump administration.
"I am not a Trump supporter,” Claudia Perez told the Times in an interview. She said she was upset about the deception but stood by her criticisms of the city's housing issues.

Trump campaign asked permission to use Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah for the RNC. They were denied. RNC used it anyway.

I just have to say, can we hire someone to explain to republicans what these songs are about? Wasn't it bad enough that Reagan thought "Born in the USA" was a patriotic song?

Interesting PF, I remember reading Klobuchar's articles in the Trib, good outdoor writer but apparently a bit crotchety...  I thought Amy presented herself well in the primaries, not sure why she did not catch on with more primary voters.

She'd make a fine cabinet member, she's smart and convicted. I personally cant stand to listen to her for very long, but she's talented.

I vaguely remember Jim Klobuchar. Fairly certain I read one of those books. Guess I never made the connection between him and Amy.

What's so crazy is the number of instances and clips of Trump fumbling sentences, mispronouncing words and speaking gibberish yet he pretends they don't exist.  There are SO many but he acknowledges nothing. Everything is perfect. Everything is the best that ever was. He never makes a mistake. He even said he handled the coronavirus "just right". It's some weird mental gymnastics he does. Then he turns around and pokes at Biden. And I still don't know what he's talking about regarding drugs.

But Michigan gave us Motang!  I expect men who are in their upper 70's performing a high pressure job to make human mistakes. Have a little grace. What we shouldn't expect or accept is the president being an asshole.

C'mon now...

think of the wonderful richness of gifs, kitsch, meme's and one-liners we'd get with another 4 years of this moron in office?

I wonder what the evolution of this guy would be over another 48 mos of wandering the White House?

Scary? Funny? A bit of both?
