and in 2018? Defense was 4th. OL was shit but it featured Kirks boy Tom Compton.
He’s a .500 QB who plays bad in big games. But sure, lets keep up the mediocrity in Minnesota because stats are nice.
Better yet, he only needs top 5 OL to go with the premier WR duo in the league, a top 3 RB, and damn good pair of TEs to get us past round 2 of the playoffs.
there are guys who have IT and those who dont, he doesnt

Funny how the Rams just traded a guy with 3 playoff wins for a guy with 0 playoff wins and paid two 1sts and a 3rd to do it.

Yep, just one playoff win is correct. Maybe if Kirk would have ran better than 9 carries for 18 yards the offense would have scored more points. Also, if Kirk wouldnt have given up almost 200 yards on the ground we would have controlled the clock better. OR, if Kirk knew how to catch a punt inside his own 10 we wouldnt have given up additional points. Damnit Kirk, never doing more outside of your position. Maybe one day

It's almost as if football is a team sport.
Impressive stats, but I wonder how many of those TDs came in the final two minutes on game winning drives? Yep, there's no QB in the league that's feared more than KC when the game is on the line. =)
I like Kirk, but I wouldn't mind getting a "lesser" QB sort term, if the Vikes could use the Cousin's $$s to quickly upgrade the rest of the OL, DL, and maybe even LB and Safety. With all the holes, I just don't think the Vikes can get the supporting cast KC needs to have around him to make the Vikings successful.
The Vikes went after Kirk because they believed he was an upgrade over Keenam and Teddy, and the team was just "a good QB" away from being SB contenders. I think it's time to realize that Viking ship has sailed.

Good lord, how many more big games do we need to see Cousins flail in to know he's not the guy? I've seen enough:
Chicago 2018 game week 17 (the man threw for 132 yards vs the Chicago half assed defense)
Choking the game in GB by a dumb picks then the putrid performance (122 yards passing) at home in 19,
SF when he had open WR's was too afraid to pull the trigger, locking in to his first read in a winnable road playoff game
3 games vs your biggest rivals with a defense that was top 10 vs points
Let alone the absolutely gross games of:
vs Buffalo 18
vs. indy 20
I don't know why Viking fans are so stuck on a guy who puts up stats but still has a .500 record. He's a premier set of weapons around him this whole time yet doesn't seem to elevate the team at all. We had more wins and what looked like to be more leadership or team belief when Teddy and Case were here. He has minimal mobility and in the NFL outside of the GOAT, it's about being able to break the pocket and make plays happen. Sure the OL has sucked at times, but it wasn't that much better in 2017 either. We had a QB who could make plays with his legs, we don't have that in Cousins. So while we all wait for the magic formula of a great OL (which there is no rhyme or reason to considering the OL has consisted for the most part of 1st-3rd rounders) coming together, this team is stuck in mediocrity.
If we need to have a great OL, a dynamic duo of WRs, great running game, with talented TEs to make Cousins successful, couldn't we do the same with many other QB's for less money?
Funny, no mention of games he brought the team back in the fourth quarter, only to have the D blow the lead handed to them. I guess those don't count.
Not sure why I'm going to also mention that Cousins also has one of the best QBRs in the 4th quarter with the game within 7 points as that will probably fall on fact resistant ears.
