The NRA has one of the largest lobbies in Washington, they aren't going anywhere. Love 'em or hate 'em, they're here to stay.

I've never been a member, though I'm very pro-2A.  I thought that their message was muddled and overly-enabled from the start.

A better organization more in line with actual gun owners will hopefully result, one way or another...but yes, one that fights against the babbling asshats trying to create meaningless restrictions on legit owners.

Yes, one that focuses on responsible gun ownership, takes a cooperative stance in regards in community relations, not the one that panders to the extreme.  One that doesn’t make any criticism a 5 star fire alarm in the rise of socialism taking your guns and your liberty.

There is room for nuanced voices in all of these conversations, problem is, these issues become black and white and the parties who are highlighted in this typically the loudest voices on the fringes.

Never have supported the NRA.  Not a big fan of orgs that exist strictly to lobby.  They have done good work in many cases, but it just seems like the wrong approach.
Thankfully the founding fathers had the wisdom and foresight to include the 2nd Amendment.
