Hopefully, this is the last of this kind of thing for the NFL. Would love to see May OTAs in full force.....might be pushing it just a little from a timetable perspective, but maybe not too far off from then.....

They had a football season, but we can't have the Combine? Cmon.

Why is it so difficult to schedule and complete the combine but not a 17 week season? I see this as being lazy and unacceptable. I feel bad for the small school guys

Television contract isn't as high?

It is a little weird. OK, so you don't like the idea of hundreds of players coming from all over the country. But isn't that exactly what's happening at the Senior Bowl?

Really the wrong year to cancel. Hold the interviews remotely to mitigate that. Postpone it, put protocols in place, but to straight up cancel seems harsh.

No combine and no season for a good chunk of players is going to make what is already a crap shoot even harder. I suspect that "intelligence" will play a bigger part this year.

Probably need to just add .02 of a second to every 40 time turned in at pro days.

This is part of the reason I'm not as upset missing that 2nd round pick for Ngokoue. If last years scouting process was tough, this year is even worse.

The combine was going to makeup for a lot of the scouting time missed on the road. That is where they really get to know the players and talk to coaches, teammates, etc. I may very well be wrong but I think a lot of underclassmen are going to stay in school since scouts wouldn't have been looking at them prior to this year. The top guys will still come out but the middle round guys will probably end up better going through a more traditional scouting process.

this should make losing a higher pick more upsetting IMO.   the top 50-75 players are pretty easy to find,  sure their order might get screwed up a bit,  but its those guys with out the top ratings that are IMO going to carry a higher bust factor the more limited the workout and meetings will be,  especially considering how many players we will need to make an impact coming out of this draft in year one.
