kinda of how I've been viewing it... lots of hypocrisy over this one.
They cant have it both ways...
1. They said Kap should not be ousted from the League for voicing his opinion. Guess what? Kap is not in the League because he voiced his opinion.
2. Brees voices his opinion and they want him out of the league just like they did to Kap but they are called idiots for asking the same standards be applied to Brees as they did to Kap.
I hope you see the double standard in that post.

This is exactly the Laura Ingraham commentary about Le Bron and Brees below.

https://twitter.com/i/status/1268551040074383361

The hypocrisy in the post above lies in the authors:
For Tyler Zed: Who wants to have it both ways (Kap not being the the League for voicing his opinion and Brees allowed in the League and to voice his option
For Laura Ingraham: Who wants LBJ to shut up and dribble and for Brees to voice his option

Below is what Laura Ingraham said on her show on Thursday
Quote:On Thursday, Ingraham responded to James' reaction on her Fox News show, saying "every American has the God-given right to speak his or her own mind on any issue."
"I think in order to heal and shed light on gross injustices, our country needs more dialogue, not less," Ingraham said. "And we need more respect, not retribution."
"Right now, Americans, I think most of them, are looking for reconciliation. That means politicians, police, and even cultural figures all working together. All of us."
How does the bold add up with her comments to Le Bron to shut up and dribble? Did she have the same opinion when she was talking about Le Bron? What changed? I don't expect any answers here but just calling it out. Just like the tweet above.

This is the America some live in everyday
All Ingraham was missing in her response to Lebron was “BOY . . “

She’s a hack, even moderate conservatives find her stances repulsive at times

I think mblack has a very valid point, here.

It is hypocritical to demand a sports/hollywood star to stifle (when you disagree) yet celebrate  country stars (when you agree).

It is hypocritical.

We conservatives hate Hollywood award shows when the stars mis-use the occasion to pontificate.  Well, we (conservatives) should also object when country musics stars pontificate during their award shows.  Right?

I can’t understand why anyone in the arts would purposefully alienate half the buying public?  Narcisism?

Intellectual elitism. They're deluded into believing they know better, as their celebrity and stardom dictates this.

And in many cases, they've been treated different their whole lives,  like because of their skills or talents that they are somehow better.  Kind of like rich kids,  they equate their wealth as to some sort of indication of intelligence when it was really just lucky sperm.

I think it might be a bit scary at what some people might say bothers them more, sadly.

Why not just ignore it? Or better yet, why not just acknowledge that, while you may not share the opinion of the protesters, this is a free country and everyone (individuals, teams, businesses) is allowed to demonstrate and protest peacefully.

Because that's what a leader would do. That's what a smart person would do. Our president is neither.

POTUS is certainly transparent about how he feels about lot's of things, important things...And that lens appeals to his base. Now how that translates to broader America in November remains to be seen.

My take is he isn't 'transparent about how he feels' as much as he's pandering to his voting base. Like with the Bible (his favorite book, lol) yet can't name one verse. He's taken a section of the country that feels like American values have been flushed away and turned that into a cult like following that rationalize every stupid thing he says into either that he's trolling the Left or being a 'true American'. Truth is closer to he's just a moron. That somehow he's a man of the people is absolutely hilarious.
