Perspective from Elmhurst in NYC

I cant read the article without a subscription,  but I have been thinking the same thing with them and many other states and areas that have been hit hard.  I never understood why meat processing facilities didnt go to 1/3 speed or something else to try and spread out their workers (and why werent states on top of these types of facilities from the onset?)  sending covid patients to elderly care facilities?  WTF?  there are plenty of things that should have been done different, but then certain parties would have to agree to what the other sides were saying at the various times and that would have been preposterous,  better to cling to the opposing view than ever admit the other guy might be right on this one.

Jimmy just an honest question, but it is leading.  Do you think meat processing plants employ a disproportionate number of undocumented aliens.  In Iowa the ICE raids we have had are centered around these businesses.  You know where this leads to, so what you think?

Here are a few excerpts from it, it backs up some of the info in the video.
  • Improper patient transfers. Some patients were too sick to have been
transferred between hospitals. Squabbling between the Cuomo and de
Blasio administrations contributed to an uncoordinated effort.
  • Insufficient
isolation protocols. Hospitals often mixed infected patients with the
uninfected early on, and the virus spread to non-Covid-19 units.
  • Inadequate
staff planning. Hospitals added hundreds of intensive-care beds but not
always enough trained staff, leading to improper treatments and
    overlooked patients dying alone.
Basically she said they were mixing the patients and many of the doctors were not qualified, one was a dentist and many others were residents straight out of school.

So what qualifies her statements, other than conformation bias. I know I saw her broken iPhone and that was compelling, but is there more than assertions to back up the point you want to make?

She is every where, like I said, she make the rounds, nurse, veteran, author, activist.  I guess that makes her legit, Covid-19 is a fake.
if she were a he,  and you change nurse to politician, sounds a lot like you are describing al gore.  who also tries to sell books... hmm

Gore had a few more life experiences, accomplishments and an education.  Not sure that's a good analogy, I'll put it that in another conservative assertion folder.
was it his getting poor grades in science, or his avoiding math at harvard that makes him an expert in global warming?  ( will concede he apparently got his shit together and studied under a global warming theorist back then and made it through college) maybe it was his law degree that lends to his credibility (not in most peoples eyes regardless of party)   or was it his life experience as a career politician that some how makes him more credible and educated on his subjects than a woman that has gotten her nursing degree and travels around the country actually working in the field that she is writing on?

my analogy is fine.   you can stick it where ever you want, but that doesnt change it or lessen its soundness.

She is a quack, purely spouting shit to sell a book.

My girlfriend is a nurse and also works with Covid-19 patients.  This dingbat came from Florida to NY for a huge payday, then decided to she’ll make a video and a book to exploit the tragedy, basically ripping on the doctors and other healthcare professionals on the front lines.  99% of what she says is fake, bullshit, or half truths twisted to suit her narrative.  The healthcare community that works with her is furious and want to come forward but cannot, due to needing to keep patients and their own identities private along with HIPAA conflicts.  Go to youtube and there’s a ton of videos by qualified doctors that debunk this nutjob nurse.

But kudos, if there is a dingbat conspiracy theory being touted you rightwingers have an uncanny ability to hone in on it.

No not sure it is.  She is a young women and nurse, He's a lawyer and old man.  About the only similarity is they both enlisted and served in war zone's.  Hid did write the "High Performance Computing Act of 1991 " and we will see if her book about to be released on Amazon will have the same impact.  So when it comes to "soundness " you may be a bit tonedef.

As I said above, her claims that they were mixing confirmed with non-covid patients.  They lacked trained staff.
I watched it largely because the stats showing minority patients were disproportionately affected and she had some insight on that.  Thought that may intrigue others here.  I have done a ton of reading and research on this pandemic as I want to know what is going on, not just fear driven stats, government mandates or what Trump, Fauci, Birx or some other talking heads say.  Some of her video was speculation and seeing she had a book coming out gives a pause to think about motivation.  But she shared some powerful experiences.

So mock and say what you want, but taking in information in an unbiased manner is a good thing.  Shutting your mind off and plugging your ears isn't.

But those are claims, once removed from fact.  How much is a ton and what is the importance.  All we have are opinions, trying to be an expert, and arguing that your right is not peer review.  The Covid pandemic is real.  Racism is real, now, historical and systemic.  What we gonna do next, argue over internet shit.  You wanna play on my team, right here right now, what you gonna next to be better and win?   My son is a Molecular Biologist, PHD, works for NIH, talk with him every week, and the shit your spreading just don't reach the threshold of credibility, just marginal entertainment on a football message board.  Doesn't even come close to credible, just ignorant speculation, with pending digital publication, and you are not waiting to see if the facts are correct.

Not to mention the fact that science is on his side. That's what's lost in all of this nonsense...

Yes, let's compare Gore, a Harvard educated former Senator and climate activist who promotes a position shared by 99% of scientists in that field....to an anti-vaxxer mom who promotes a position opposed by 99% of scientists in that field....because they both, um...sell books?

Anti-vaxxers mystify me. The group, by large, are morons, but some are actually smart. And those smart people have deluded themselves into believing something that is scientifically and medically 100% wrong. And they double down when presented with the facts. It shows that people want to be right more than anything, even beyond what is factually accurate.
