Yeah, I can't buy meat at a supermarket, haven't for years.  I have been buying beef pork and poultry from local producers since I moved back to the midwest, in the early 90's. Nothing like a hanger steak from a grass fed animal.  Centralized food production has always had a bad effect on civilizations, spread of disease and famine, yeah I buy into that.  I thought you were from around Sioux Falls, hence the reference to Steve King, he's the one in congress from Iowa that has gotten kicked off every committee in congress.   Has never written or co-authored an ag. bill, only bill he ever passed had to do with saving the incandescent light bulb, but has won every year in a landslide in NW Iowa.  His last infamous quote's were, "White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?"  and "You could look over there and think the Democratic Party is no country for white men", so what I was getting at you and I live in a pretty isolated, homogeneous area.  Grew up in the Cities, used to live in the Franklin, Hennepin then moved away.
Nah I'm from central SD but live in NESD now.  After you talk about the guy I've heard the stories but didnt know the name.  A certain head scratcher there.  Unless he is much smarter than me and I am not getting the crux of his statements he is certainly not long for his seat.
No not very smart, heard his intellect described "like a turtle on a fence post" too much perspective for him to handle.  They have been electing him since 03, he was on Governors last relection committee.  He's still running, GOP is running 3 against him, but he still has a shot.

An old rancher is talking about politics with a young man from the city. He compares a politician to a "post turtle." The young man doesn't understand and asks him what a post turtle is.
The old man says, "When you're driving down a country road and you see a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle. You know he didn't get up there by himself. He doesn't belong there;  he can't get anything done while he's up there; you wonder who the idiot was that put him up there in the first place; and you just want to help the poor, dumb thing down."

Rich NBA player tweets to burn down affordable housing building, calls them animals when they get to his rich gated community. Epic. So epic. It’s like poetry. https://twitter.com/jackposobiec/status/1267127192330346500 …

MPLS is quiet tonight. It's nice. Folks out there are healing tonight. Speakers are speaking truth and facts.

Live feed from Sikk Whips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuiiqEA8_qk

(can't even get a youtube URL to pop it, linked it)

nice dude walking around, live streaming, checking things out in downtown MPLS. Just said he "think(s) the KKK shit fake" while the crowd in the distance passing by has changed the "Fuck 12" chant they we're doing earlier to the "Fuck 12, Fuck the KKK."

There's a lady on a microphone preaching " there are more of us than them! We need to fight" trying to get them to get violent and fight. It just peace right now.

They said they were told they can stay out all night if it's peaceful - and these guys are intent on staying peaceful and chilling at the memorial site.

they're paying attention and suspicious a bit to who was fucking shit up...

cool to catch the street chatter and hear what the people are saying. Awesome this memorial remade today could stay together. I hope it's there in the morning.

If you told me these white folks walking around angry, looking to stir shit up were getting paid to start shit i'd believe it. There's a white dude standing on a billboard yelling down at people trying hard to get them rowdy. Everyone is ignoring them.

White folks are trying to start "No Justice. No Peace." chants. While other groups of whites walk around telling them where there about to all go meet the police. They're ignoring them, and getting irritated with these folks low key...

Pretty cool. This guy Sikk Whips who came up from Houston to film overnight on the ground just walkin' around caught a cameraman and a reporter setting up to shoot. He spoke to them for a moment, they're from Japan!

He interviewed a couple dudes, one in a "SECURITY" shirt - he caught them in a lie about being a military man, national guard reserve, and camera guy isn't afraid to egg them on about being crossed in a lie about what rank and class he is.

Someone quoted a law stating military can't be on the ground like that undercover. He's spittin' some facts about JROTC now, pretty cool. Man, he's excited about catching these guys in a lie lol. They're wondering if they we're gang members.

There are still voices behind the sitters spitting rhetoric like it's time to literally fight. Someone's trying to get them riled up.

I've been rolling with this guy all night - they found CNN on the ground, walked up to them and asked them why they don't interview more people on the ground and get the "real" stuff.

No joke, he walks away and his livestream got black screened. CNN's got that power apparently. He had to completely disconnect and reconnect his livestream to get it back.

The memorial stood through curfew - hung out there with this guy all night. Awesome streamer - crazy, he's up all day, up and night and his crew is heading back home to Texas right now.

Justice for Floyd!

local militia and armed men and women took to the streets here and stood along side peaceful protestors and police.
We had some vans from out of state (only 30 miles away) packed with people that came, saw, cursed at the militia and left.

I saw a public thank you from a chicago community watch organization thanking THANKING the Latin Kings Gang for stepping up and helping the CPD to run the rioters out of their neighborhoods....  That had to have been hard to write.
