He's amazing with this. His hand offs look exactly the same as a play action pass. Every time. Sucks in the D consistently.

I'm a fan of Cousins and the play action. It will be fun to see what new wrinkles Kubiak has up his sleeve this year. It helps the play action when you have a great RB in the backfield. It also helps if the Oline is good at selling a run blocking look. A defender often keys on how a lineman fires off the snap to determine whether its a run or pass.

I just wish the Vikings would've rolled Cousin out on bootlegs more in the 49ers playoff game. It sure seemed like he was an easy target on those straight drop backs from under center.

Those play-action bootlegs the opposite way just KILLED all year long. I kept waiting for a team to figure it out and stop it and they never did. The combo of a dangerous Dalvin Cook and Cousins being so good at the fake is a nightmare setup for a D.

IMHO when Cousins looks back on his career, Kubiak and Co. will wind up being the thing to ever happen to him.

Sure seems like Kubiaks scheme fits Cousins skillset.

Like Sticky says, Cousins was lethal in Play action.

Yeah, that play was money all year. The one thing you'll notice, at least on the plays in the clip, is that Dalvin is the back on all of them. I think if you take Dalvin out, the numbers on that play go way down. Obviously, the key to good play action is having a back that scares the hell out of defenses. As good as Mattison is, I don't think he does that.
