Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was carted off from Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team with a knee injury that he later indicated he believes will rule him out for the remainder of the season. On a third-and-2 play in the third quarter, Burrow was hit low by one pass rusher and high by another after throwing an incompletion intended for wide receiver Tyler Boyd. Burrow clutched his left knee before being leaving on a cart.
Players from both teams surrounded Burrow to show support as the quarterback was being loaded onto the cart and taken away. Cincinnati ruled Burrow out for the remainder of the game shortly after the injury. Burrow threw for 203 yards and one touchdown on 22-of-34 passing before exiting. Second-year quarterback Ryan Finley, who started three games last season after veteran Andy Dalton was benched, took over for Cincinnati. Finley completed three of 10 passes for 30 yards with one interception in the Bengals' 20-9 loss. Burrow was the No. 1 pick in April's NFL draft after a record-setting, Heisman Trophy-winning senior campaign at LSU. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nf...383881002/

Happened to Palmer and to a promising kid qb they had back in the 60's before acl surgery. That franchise is cursed when it gets a young up and comer at qb.

Multiple tears and additional damage...he'll need a Peterson like recovery to play in 2021...they are drafting high enough to have a shot at Sewell.
