NFL Ticket Via Amazon Prime
#11
In this day and age of a'la cart TV, I'm still confused on the pricing model of the NFL Season Ticket offered by DirecTV.  I had them for years until I cancelled about a half dozen years ago.  Got tired of paying for crappy games I wouldn't watch even bored and having to play that silly game of threatening to cancel just to keep the price manageable.

I'd ask them why can't I buy just Viking games that aren't carried locally here in Pukerville?  They are guaranteed twice per year here and the Bears and/or Lions games are usually offered as the regional games when the Puke are not on.  Then combine with the fact they are the national game 2 or 3 times per year anyway, why was I paying $300 or more for only 8-10 games on DirecTV??

Anyway, I'd pay per game for any that aren't carried locally, through Prime if it was available.

I had Directv for 15 plus years and loved it.  Until ATT bought it...  Grrrrr. Everything went downhill fast except the price which went up nearly 20%.  I had enough and dropped them. I do miss being able to watch the games at home. But......

Same here, once AT&T took over price of Directv package went from $90 to $156. I called and asked if my bill was correct and they said yes. I said please cancel my service. A customer since 1997 and never missed a payment and then in 2019 they they never tried to keep me. Oh well, some companies have way too much money.

As someone who has Amazon Prime, but no NFL Network (I have Youtube TV), this sounds like good news for me. For that one game/week, at least haha.
There's usually a few games/year that are exclusive to NFL Network and I have to jump through hoops to watch them.

This guy told me how to get them all free and that's what I've done ever since.   =)

Ugh...leaving dollars on the floor...

The good news is it I want to put up a DirecTv dish at the new place, it's only a $1,000 security deposit.

Security deposit on the townhouse was $250.
You don't need to get direcTv in your instance to have Sunday Ticket.  You can just get the streaming version as it is a townhome.  I think it's $200 for the basic package.
