The Drive
#1
I loved this drive. The moment wasn't too big for Cousins. I had this weird sense of calm as I watched them go to the huddle for the first time in overtime when they got the ball. Cousins was ice. Money from Thielen.

Always great to see this! Eff the Saints.

The execution following the Thielen catch was bad, save for the last play to Rudy.  OL gets shoved back (take a look at Bradbury), Ham blocks the wrong guy, Cook picks the wrong hole.  Short yardage runs were a problem all year.

The Vikes showed no fear traveling to NO taking on the heavily favored Saints.  What a sweet win!

Would almost be my favorite playoff win were it not for beating them more dramatically a couple years before.

Aikman gave ample praise to Cousins and blew the narrative away that Kirk can't win in the playoffs.

That 2nd and 10 run for a 1st down right before the bomb to AT was huge.  O'Neill seals Jordan, Rudy dominates #22.  Almost looks like the D-Line was gassed and giving up.  Then those 2 throws, that is where Cousins earned his money.

Don't forget the money pass to Diggs on 3rd and 1. That was bigger than the Cook run IMO.

All the plays leading up to the bomb were big.  That run tho got them out of a hole.  There would be no bomb if it weren't 1st down.  And Lattimore got injured trying to tackle Cook.
But thanks for sharing this, was a fun trip down memory lane.

Key moments from the drive

Favre hitting Bernard on that laser to the sidelines on 3rd down
Sidneys next play down the hash
Chester’s run that almost broke for a TD

Oh . .  Different drive
